I used to think all the time that all my friendships I made as a teenager would last forever. Our group was different. Life has a way of showing you how untrue that is. Some of us switched up and strayed from the path. Some of us passed away. Some of us are just too busy trying to survive to even pick up a phone and make a call sometimes. I’m not mad at anyone for any of those things happening. Life happened. Nothing is anyone’s fault. But, I say that to give this man the credit he deserves. A man who has been there since day one. He’s never once changed up on us. Chad, you’ve stayed ten toes down through hell and back and you still pick up the phone just to call and check in. You do so much for myself and others. I love you homie and I’m damn proud to call you my brother. Thank you for always being there and for always being you.

Meant to post this earlier but I fell asleep all day.

I will forever be in awe of my friend @cowboy.80_ and @forthefreaksbooking — I said North Carolina DIY in the video but it’s really all of CAROLINA that you’ve made your playground that we all get to share in.
The FTF team pulled off another incredible festival and handled the heat, the chaos, and the foolery with a lot of grace and care for the people who attended. Big shout out to @bonenailedhunt - the realest one.

There’s not enough to write or say to capture what it feels like to be bunked up with your best friends for 2 days in a fairytale world of music, art, love, friendship, and a whole lot of fun.

It’s an incredible joy to get to watch so many bands who get better and better every time I see them and see so many bands I have never even heard. That’s a wild thing. And to get to be in the same place with HC legends where the environment lends us to all just being people together, bonding over this thing we all love so much, is a truly beautiful thing.

Finally, to have had the opportunity to play our first @rootofevilnc show on night 1 was a gift that can never be repaid. That will stay with me forever. Thank you again, Ethan, for trusting us to take that spot. Thank you to our friends who went off like it was the last time they’d ever get to - I’ve never felt a strength like that. I am so grateful and full of joy.

So, onward to OCTOBER BABYYYY - see you all soon.

All my love.

✩ happy birthday, devin!
♡
i just shared a bunch of silly photos of us a few days ago for valentine’s day, so i asked our friends to share their favorite photos of/with you and looking through them and picking some favorites was such a cool experience.
♡
you’re such a wonderful person to be around, you make everything light and bright and warm. you bend over backwards for the myrtle folks and those who roll through. you make everyone feel like they’ve got somewhere to go and be in good company. you just want to see people happy and you’re the reason they’re happy a lot of the time.
♡
nothing you do goes unnoticed or unappreciated. the outpour of messages i’ve received in this very short two and a half years makes my heart warm and it always reassures me that i’m right where i need to be AND with one of the coolest people out there. (but you’re the cooliest to me!)
♡
you’re so incredibly lucky to know us and we’re so incredibly lucky to know you right back. i don’t know what i finally did right to cross paths with you, but i’m glad we get to keep each other forever.
♡
we love you, devin! (but i love you the most!)
