"I Want You Back..."

And that's exactly what we said to Chainless Change after their last visit!

After serving over 50 clients during their previous stop at Transition, they are BACK again today from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and ready to spread the love all over again!

Come by, say hello, browse some amazing items, and grab a few goodies for yourself. Don't wait too long—we have a feeling today is going to be just as popular as last time!

See you at Transition!

Today was another impactful day of serving our community through our weekly food giveaway at Logos — The Place of Victory. We’re grateful to partner with Chainless Change and their mobile unit for providing clothing, hygiene products, and additional support to individuals and families in need. Ministry is not just what happens inside the church walls — it’s how we serve people with love, dignity, and compassion. #LogosStrong #ThePlaceOfVictory #CommunityImpact #ServeWithLove

Joy is a strategy and a birthright.

The Disability Inclusion Fund and Black Led Movement Fund awarded $1 million in Joy Grants to the Black disabled organizers building the futures we all deserve. Futures where rest, care, community, and joy are at the core of everything. We’re proud to resource the nurturing conditions movements need to thrive!

We’re excited to share that Social Creatures has been selected to join New Profit’s inaugural Alumni Lab Catalyze Cohort! Social Creatures is one of 12 organizations to be awarded $50,000 in unrestricted funding and advisory support from New Profit.

This opportunity provides flexible funding and a powerful peer community to help organizations like ours continue advancing innovative, community-driven solutions.

Last week, we gathered in Atlanta with inspiring leaders from across the country who are working to strengthen communities and expand opportunity. We’re honored to be part of this cohort and look forward to what we’ll build together.

After getting hacked my page in 2019, I lost years of memories, organizing moments, and pieces of my journey that helped shape who I am.

So as I begin sharing again, I want to start with @chainlesschange

My experience there shaped me into the organizer I am today.

It deepened my understanding of community.
It taught me how many people fall through the cracks of this system.
And it showed me how much care, support, and love it takes—not to fix people, not to mend people—but to heal together properly.

Through Chainless Change, I learned how to move differently as an organizer.
How to create space for Black healing.
Black LGBTQ+ healing.
Justice-impacted healing.

This work was personal.

It was emotionally heavy at times. But it was also deeply rewarding.

The criminal legal system often operates as an economic engine that still carries the mask of slavery. And learning to help unravel that mask alongside impacted community members was not easy work.

Supporting people closest to the harm to lead change in that system required power, patience, education and a different level of resilience.

Abolition is not an easy path to build.

But what is clear to me is the vision.

Collective care.
Mental health support.
True rehabilitation.
Restorative justice & Transformative justice
Community safety rooted in public health.
Mutual aid.

These are the solutions.

The journey there won’t be simple. I don’t claim to have all the answers. But I’m deeply grateful to Chainless Change for the knowledge, the community, and the grounding that continues to shape how I organize today.

⭐ Meet our inaugural Alumni Lab. ⭐

12 cross-sector organizations from previous New Profit Catalyze cohorts advancing access and opportunities in their communities.

This cohort was born from grantee feedback: they highlighted the need for ongoing flexible funding and peer community to navigate the current moment.

Federal funding cuts, declining institutional trust, and uncertainty have destabilized the sector. Yet, the proximity of these organizations to the communities they serve holds immense opportunity for impact.

That's what we designed the Alumni Lab to provide:

🔹$50,000 in unrestricted funding
🔹Advisory support
🔹Direct access to a community of fellow changemakers

Click the link in our bio to learn more about the cohort!

Follow along as they advance their missions and build long-term impact ⬇️

We’ve been walking through Assata: An Autobiography together for the past few weeks… and now we arrive at the final chapter.

A story of resistance.
A story of survival.
A story the world tried to silence.

Assata’s life forces us to ask hard questions:

What does freedom really cost?

How does the state respond when people organize for liberation?

And why do some voices become dangerous simply for telling the truth?

This Wednesday we’re closing the book, but opening the conversation.

What did you take from her journey?

What did it challenge in you?

And what lessons still matter today?
