Inspired by a traditional puja room, the textiles and imagery in @chairbangles’ Entryway create an environment of softness and reverence. Symbols commonly found at the entrance or threshold of a South Indian home fill the installation. While many are rooted in traditions of craft, they also function as everyday, utilitarian objects, serving as devices of protection. On view through October 10, step into Entryway and envelop yourself in an environment of fierce protection. 📍 Coordinates: Dispatch Winn Park, Sacramento On view through 10/10/2026 #CoordinatesDispatch #Sacramento #SacramentoArtists

Ive been working the last few weeks on a really big project. An installation at @sitesofvacancy I got to work with a group of some incredibly talented artists. There were more than a couple nights where a few of us worked into the night onpy to realize the sun had already been up. My install is a projection map across a field of flowers that is spilling out of the IT closet. The flowers represent my last name, Flores. Which is an ode to my dad. And the concept is finding a place where nature meets technology. I used imagery of organs and tissue, bacteria, circuit boards, electricity. Running water caustics, and the human eye, to give movement and imagination to a meadow of flowers under a cloudy sky. I wanted to represent a vision of something familiar in an unfamiliar setting. What if the nature around us wasnt't what we thought it was? What if it theres a different version of things? It's slightly unsettling, but curious at the same time. I put a lot of myself into this. And there is enough detail for peoplw to keep finding new things. And find ways of discovering new interpretations. This video was made completely a.i. free. I used unreal engine to make the world and animation, then did my sound design and color grade in davinci resolve.. or was i really there? Who knows?! Coordinates- Sites of vacancy is going to be running from today, August 08 through October 10. There were over 30 artists involved in transforming an old fire diapatch building, reimagining every corner of the building. Tickets are on sale now. Today is going to be a special night, with a second saturday celebration in the surrounding park including a silent disco. I was really happy to be a part of this, and am excited for the reception. Come out today, or while the show is running and be a part of the experience!

Leading up to the exhibition this weekend “Coordinates:Dispatch” at Winn Park; I thought I would give a four year throw back to Coordinates round one, at the old (now demolished) PACSAT building. These were all photos I took on a nice camera I got to borrow from a friend. A tender look at the sheer volume of labor, size of the installations, and commitment artists had to creating this moment. A lot of love for other artists in the scene comes from witnessing their labor up close. Always honored to share space with incredible doers, and makers. If you missed it four years ago, now is the time. Here’s a behind the scenes look at in progress art pieces that eventually made up the 30 immersive rooms of Coordinates 2022- looking forward to Coordinates 2026. Link in Bio 🎟️ See you August 8th for opening weekend!

In five days, you’ll finally see what 27 Sacramento-based artists have been creating inside a long-vacant Fire Dispatch Station over the past three weeks. Every installation was created specifically for this site, transforming a historic civic landmark into one of Sacramento’s most ambitious contemporary art experiences. This exhibition exists because artists said yes. Each participating artist received material support, an honorarium (though nowhere near equal to the labor they’ve contributed), and will share in the exhibition’s net ticket revenue. Every ticket purchased directly supports the artists who made this project possible. We’re also seeking a few final sponsors who believe in investing in ambitious, artist-led work. Sponsor by Friday, August 7 to receive an invitation to our VIP Preview. Projects like this don’t happen without community. They happen because people choose to show up. 🎟 Purchase your ticket for Opening Weekend and help celebrate these incredible artists. See you at Coordinates: Dispatch 📍Albert Winn Park #CoordinatesExhibition #SacramentoArtists
