Another beautiful evening of Write Club. Tonight we discussed childhood wonders, curious adventures, broken dreams and awe. We unearthed long forgotten memories, and tried to recall times when we loved the world and its vast possibilities.

The last weekend of winter. The perfect excuse. 🌶

We are back @no_name_baylane on Saturday 29th August from 6pm, presenting our new event series ~ HOT WAX ~ a night told entirely through vinyl, nothing else.

The journey will be carefully curated by our djs, who will spin an ensemble of fine house tunes rich of disco, funky and tropical sounds blended with deeper frequencies and grooves 🪩

All sided by No Name juiciest Cocktails🍸

Vinyl only. No shortcuts. 🖤

Some nights just have it all 🍸🪩

Table Manners delivered from the very first course to the last song of the night.

A sold out dinner, food that made the room go quiet in the best possible way, surprises that brought people together, and music that created an exclusive atmosphere.

To everyone who showed up, played along and stayed until the end: THANK YOU!!! for making it what it was. Nights like these only exist because of the people in the room.

This isn’t the last time the table will be set 🌶️

Tying in with the @byronwritersfestival which starts the same week, the theme for the first week of Write Club is Sanctuary. The session prompts will provoke you to think about different ways you have experienced or conceptualised sanctuary. It could be a place, a person or a moment. You may have needed it, found it, or lost it. For those who aren’t attending the first week’s session, we will post the prompts on our Substack on Wednesday. You are welcome to share your writing with the online Write Club community. On Sunday, we will publish one selected piece on our Substack! Very excited to put pen to paper tomorrow and start meeting everyone.

Last weekend we stepped into the dark, mysterious world of Table Manners at Casa Luna... and it was anything but your average dinner party 🖤✨️

Five incredible courses, riddles to solve, strangers becoming teammates and plenty of surprises along the way. We won't give too much away because that's half the fun🍸

If you love experiences that are a little unexpected, keep this one on your radar.

Stay tuned for the next one, plus more of the best things happening around Byron Bay.

Write Club is a weekly, 2-hour guided creative writing session for people who want to slow down, reflect and reconnect with their creative selves.

Each session is facilitated by author @markj_isaacs. He holds the space, sets the pace, and makes it a place where you can rediscover your love of writing. This is not a class. There are no lessons. But the prompts will broaden your writing skills and encourage you to think deeply about your creative practice.

Write Club meets every Tuesday, from 6-8pm @ Old Maids in Brunswick. You can come alone, or bring friends, but we encourage you to come often. Themes are announced each week on Instagram.

Details for Opening Night will be published imminently.

Only few nights left until we gather again around a table for a delicious dinner, and we then dance on that same table all night 💃🏽🪩🕺🏽 @casalunabyronbay

Table Manners is not only another event in Byron Bay, it’s a dinner with a twist, the twist that makes it worth getting dress up and walk out the house, that makes you talk about it the day after, that gives you something unapologetically unusual and different.

It’s also a new beginning, it’s a celebration of life and a community coming together, opened to grow and welcome more people to join.

It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but we sure are everyone’s shot of TEAquila 🍸😜

Write Club is not a classroom. There is no teaching. It is a safe space for guided writing. An opportunity to explore your creative self without judgement or critique. We only have a few ‘rules’, which aim to shape a supportive and encouraging creative community. Be ready to write, offer feelings not critiques, and bring your friends.
