Sometimes, you have to get uncomfortable to discover a version of yourself that you didn’t even know existed. 🫶🏻

Spend a day in the Recording Studio with me! This one is dreamy. This one is experimental. And, honestly… this one feels a lil’ different. 🥹

There are so many beautiful things coming up on the horizon, and I can’t wait for you to hear them all. 🎧🤍✨

STORY TIME: December 2012. @theglasshousepomona .
My senior year of high school I met one of my hometown idols @hitboy

The day before the concert my homies and I took a 2 hour one way bus ride to the box office to cop tickets, but it was CLOSED. We felt DEFEATED after a long ass trip. The next day my dawg @albertoreyes__ called a radio station on a whim and WON us free tickets to the show. We take another 2 hour bus ride to P town, hit @zoinksrecords to kill time, saw @audiopush opening set and copped a physical CD of their ‘Inland Empire’ mixtape. @dopeitsdom & @caseyveggies performed ‘CDC’ (one of my favs), @kingchip performed his part of ‘Higher’, and Hit played allllll of his hits live and performed his album ‘Hit-Story’ (which is now being re-released, can NOT wait to stroll memory lane). We decided to miss the last bus home and waited a solid 1-2 hours in the back alley way hoping to catch Hit. We told him we were from Fontana too, and he told his security to take the pic for us. A night I’ll never forget

Fast forward 10 years later - I’m recording my own projects at @chalicerecording with @laterdereck @jysn.wav @amberazurduy and seeing Hit & @realsamkatz around the studio. Was able to attend some of his events - ‘Black & White’ documentary screening, Grammy Party at Revel, etc. Seeing the Kendrick and Rihanna platinum plaques everyday, hearing the making of the first ‘Kings Disease’ with my other idol @nas as I pass his studio. All just fuel to keep going.

Point is - you never know who’s watching.
Seeing someone from my lil hometown become the greatest producer of all time has been riveting. Who knows where id be if I didn’t see it to believe it at such a young age and with everything that was going on in my life at that point.

LOVE to @Hitboy @surfclubinc #HS87 @realsamkatz and the whole team🤞🏽Hope we all cross paths again soon

A clip from the archive during a stretch when we spent a lot of time in and out of sessions, documenting the people and moments around them.

A lot of hard work, sacrifices, and obstacles went into this project. Thankful for everyone who believed in the vision and worked to make it happen.

Proud of @azuxenaofficial and what she’s created. This album is a whole new level. High Energy. New Sound. Different. #Global 🌎
