Raise Kids Who Know They Can!
Parents, you don’t have to remove every obstacle from your child’s path.
I know it’s tempting.
They’re struggling with their homework, so you want to give them the answer.
They’re having a problem with a friend, so you want to call the other parent.
They’re nervous about trying something new, so you want to step in and make it easier.
But sometimes, our job isn’t to remove the obstacle.
It’s to help them believe they can get over it.
Instead of saying, “I’ll fix it for you,” try, “What do you think you could do?”
Instead of immediately solving the problem, sit with them while they work through it.
Let them experience making a mistake and figuring out what to do next.
Let them lose a game.
Let them forget something once in a while.
Let them have an uncomfortable conversation.
Let them try something they might not be good at.
Because confidence doesn’t come from growing up without problems.
Confidence comes from learning, “I had a problem, and I figured it out.”
You don’t have to clear the entire path for your child.
Sometimes you just need to walk beside them long enough for them to realize they can handle the path themselves. @chalk2table

Your Kitchen Table Is More Powerful Than You Think!
Parents, have you ever thought about how the little things you do around your kitchen table today shape the adults your kids will become tomorrow?
It’s not just about dinner or homework. It’s about the lessons happening in between.
When you let your child solve a problem instead of fixing it for them, you’re building independence.
When you listen without judging, you’re building trust.
When you let them make a mistake and try again, you’re teaching resilience.
When you ask, “What do you think you should do?” instead of giving them all the answers, you’re building confidence.
And when you sit down, put your phone away, and really listen, you’re showing them that they matter.
Here’s the truth: You don’t have to be a perfect parent. You just have to be intentional in the everyday moments.
Because what happens at your kitchen table today helps shape the person who walks out into the world tomorrow.
Small moments. Big lessons. Lasting impact.
See you at the table.

4 Agreements That Can Change the Way You Parent
What if four simple agreements could help you become a calmer parent and build a stronger connection with your kids?
Here’s how to put them into practice.
1. Be impeccable with your word.
Your words matter. Instead of saying, “You never listen!” try, “I need you to stop and listen to what I’m asking.”
2. Don’t take things personally.
When your child rolls their eyes or snaps at you, take a breath. Their behavior may reflect frustration, not how much they love or respect you. You can address the behavior without reacting in anger.
3. Don’t make assumptions.
Your child comes home quiet. Instead of assuming they had a bad day, ask, “You seem a little different today. Want to talk about it?” Get curious before jumping to conclusions.
4. Always do your best.
Your child will have hard days, and so will you. Some days, your best parenting means staying calm. Other days, it means apologizing and trying again. That’s real life.
The goal isn’t to get parenting right every time. It’s to keep learning, keep connecting, and keep growing alongside our kids.
See you at the table.
@chalk2table# #parentingtips #momlife #dadlife #growthmindset

It’s that time of year again, so we thought, this past episode is definitely worth revisiting.
Parent-teacher conferences are coming up, and it’s a great time to talk about how parents and teachers can come together, ask better questions, listen, and truly partner for their child.
So we’re throwing it back to this conversation because it’s one you’ll want to hear before your next conference.
Grab a seat and let’s talk. See you at the table. @chalk2table #parentingtips #momlife #dadlife #positivevibes

Parents, Take a Breath. It’s Saturday!
Parents, can we agree to slow down just a little today?
The laundry can wait. The house doesn’t have to be perfect. You don’t have to fill every minute with an activity.
Let the kids stay in their pajamas a little longer. Make pancakes together. Go for a walk. Watch a silly movie. Or do absolutely nothing for a while.
And if the kids are arguing, the house is a mess, and your to-do list is a mile long? Take a breath. You’re allowed to have a slower day, too.
Our kids don’t need every Saturday to be productive or Pinterest-perfect. Sometimes, the best memories happen when we stop rushing and just enjoy being together.
So today, give yourself permission to slow down, put your phone away for a little while, and enjoy the little moments.
You don’t have to do it all today. Just breathe. You’re doing better than you think.

Isn’t it funny how the quiet of the night can say so much?
The house is finally still. The to-do list can wait. The noise of the day fades away, and you finally get a moment to just breathe.
Maybe you replay the day. Maybe you worry about tomorrow. Or maybe you just sit in the quiet and realize that, even with all the craziness, there’s so much to be grateful for.
Sometimes, the best part of the day is the moment you finally slow down enough to appreciate it.
So tonight, give yourself permission to do nothing, think less, and just be.
Tomorrow will come soon enough.
Good night. You’ve done enough today. @chalk2table #parentingtips #momlife #dadlife #growthmindset #positivevibes

The Secret to Raising Strong Kids
What if our goal isn’t to make life easier for our kids… but to help them get stronger from the hard stuff?
That’s what raising antifragile kids is about.
Not kids who never struggle.
Kids who learn they can handle struggle.
They forget their homework? Let them figure out what to do next.
They have a fight with a friend? Listen, but don’t immediately call the other parent.
They get a bad grade? Don’t rush to fix it. Ask, “What do you think you could do differently next time?”
They make a mistake? Help them learn from it instead of making the mistake disappear.
Because every time we rescue our kids from something hard, we may be taking away a chance to teach them:
“I can handle this. I can figure this out. I can try again.”
We don’t want to prepare the road for our kids.
We want to prepare our kids for the road.
That’s how we raise kids who are confident, capable, and ready for life. @chalk2table #parentingtips #momlife #dadlife #growthmindset #positivevibes

have spent all day answering questions.
“Why?”
“How?”
“Can I?”
“Where?”
“But why?”
I love my kids.
I love my job.
But after a long day?
Please direct all questions to tomorrow.

The Question That Gets Kids Talking!
Stop asking, “How was your day?”
Because let’s be honest…
“How was your day?”
“Fine.”
End of conversation.
Try asking questions that actually give your kids something to talk about.
Instead of:
“How was school?”
Try:
“What was the funniest thing that happened today?”
Instead of:
“Did you have a good day?”
Try:
“Who made you laugh today?”
Instead of:
“Did you learn anything?”
Try:
“What’s something you know now that you didn’t know this morning?”
Or my favorite:
“What was the best part of your day… and what was the hardest?”
Sometimes changing the question changes the conversation.
And you might be surprised by what your child tells you.
