A whimsical and poetic journey into the world of a clown, “Blanc sur blanc” follows the comic unraveling of a simple thread from her pants. What begins as a minor inconvenience soon reveals a web of interconnected challenges. As she faces a series of mishaps, the clown discovers that solving problems is never as straightforward as it seems.

This charming performance is a lighthearted exploration of how the little things in life can spiral into larger, often absurd, dilemmas. Full of physical comedy and heart, “Blanc sur blanc” reminds us that in life all strings are attached...or perhaps no strings at all. A perfect blend of fun and inspiration for audiences of all ages.

This performance of “Blanc sure blanc” is sponsored by Chalmers Insurance Group. @chalmersgroup

A huge thank you to the incredible volunteers from @keybank and @chalmersgroup who joined us at Camp Susan Curtis this week! 💚

Did you know we provide bedding, towels and other basic necessities to every camper when they arrive to camp (that they take home with them!)? And with the camp season right around the corner, these volunteers helped unpack supplies, organize bedding and towels, and assemble backpacks filled with school supplies!

Every backpack packed, every shelf organized, and every box unpacked helps ensure campers arrive to a camp community that is ready for them from day one... and because of the volunteers hard work, our staff can focus on welcoming campers and creating the life-changing experiences that make camp so special.

Thank you @keybank and @chalmersgroup Chalmers Insurance Group for rolling up your sleeves and investing your time and energy in Maine kids. We couldn’t do it without you! 🌻

I really enjoyed joining The Community Cast, a podcast by Chalmers Insurance Group, with Dottie Chalmers Cutter 🎙️

We talked about midlife health, navigating perimenopause and menopause, the power of community, and what it truly means to feel supported during a season of change.

Episode 143 is live! I’m grateful for the conversation and hope you’ll give it a listen.

A message from Bill Graham, our Race Director:

All we can say is - WOW. We are in awe of the number participated in this year’s 4 on the Fourth. We got the Fun Run in between downpours, and the 4 on the Fourth enjoyed perfect running conditions.

In 1977, the first year of the race, there were 175 runners (they had expected 70!). In 2025, our 49th year... 2,250 runners registered and about 2,000 completed the race. This included 625 campers from 11 local camps. We also set another record in total number of sponsors. Their generosity and your registration fees together will generate another record contribution to the Bridgton Public Library and significant donations to other local non-profits.

Along with these huge numbers, we also experienced some strain on our systems. We want to acknowledge and apologize for the delay and confusion at the July 3 bib pick-up. What is typically an organized and orderly pre-race event did not go as smoothly as expected, and we appreciated that many of you showed a lot of patience as we dealt with our glitch. (Also, the sudden downpours didn’t help!) We are also grateful, as always, to our wonderful volunteers who handled everything with their usual grace. As we gear up for our upcoming 50th running of the Four on the Fourth on 7/4/2026, we’ll do our best to ensure there are no glitches. You can help by registering early in 2026 (we had more than 125 runners register on the last day of registration).

CONGRATULATIONS to our winners: Sam Laverdiere – 20:10 minutes, and Caroline Livingston – 22:38 minutes.

THANKS TO OUR COMMUNITY!

Beyond our sponsors, there are other critical team players that make our race possible: The Town of Bridgton, the Bridgton Police and Bridgton Fire Departments, our EMT team, our T-shirt suppliers at Maine Street Graphics and the banners produced at Muddy River Signs.
