For my birthday today, I come to you all to announce that THIS SATURDAY MARKS 5 WHOLE YEARS OF SAUCED AND SAUCY, so you bet your ass we’re celebrating big with icons only down over at the birthplace of it all, our beloved Pizza Lobo Logan Square. GATHER YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR NEIGHBORS, AND YOURSELVES FOR A BIG SHOW with performances starting at 1:00 PM by all three hosts of the show, Boy J, Chamilla Foxx, and I, plus our guests including freshly announced Dragula Season 7 monster Vanda LaRose, Kara Mel D’Ville, and NYC’s Miss Ma’amShe. We’ll be graced by the vinyl music stylings of Tromblau from 12:30 until 2:00 PM, so arrive early to ring in another year of Sauced and Saucy. Y’all’s support has been incredible. I thank you. I cry. Cannot even properly put into words how perfect our wedding weekend was…

Nine years ago @alex_ander_k and I met on the dance floor of Berlin Nightclub. To have spent the last decade dancing, loving, building a life, a home, a sanctuary and a team to both conquer challenges and ease through life has been the greatest honor. To marry you on August 29th, 2026 honestly didn’t change much between us since we’ve married each other in spirit long ago, but it did create a night of incredible memories I will replay forever:

Equally as important as the love we’ve built between us, the past decade has gifted us a beautiful chosen family of life long friends. To our incredible wedding party- thank you for being everything we could have ever dreamed of…artists, athletes, comedians, hustlers, teachers in your own right but to us, the beautiful characters to our forever story.

To our incredible wedding team…Wow…I cannot thank you enough. Beyond meticulously saying yes to every wild idea we had, you provided a process of safety, peace and excitement that made the planning and execution feel like an absolute breeze. Not once did we ever feel treated differently and in fact, felt a reciprocated sense of spirit and love from beginning to end. Thank you endlessly.

To my mom- One of the most special moments was getting to dance with you to our favorite lullaby. I’ll always be your baby and I’m forever grateful to have shared that moment with you, I’ll replay it in my mind over and over. I love you.

To my dad- thank you for teaching me to love dancing. Your childlike spirit runs through me and to dance salsa with you on my wedding night like we did when I was young will forever be a symbol of your playfulness, love and acceptance. I love you.

To my brother, thank you for always showing up for me and my 94-year-old Nana, thank you for your resilience and joy. It was a dream to have you both present, I love y’all so much.

It’s not always a given for queer people to get married, so the spirit of love felt even more genuine and authentic throughout the weekend. I love you, Alex. Here’s to many more decades of perfect summer nights and seeing twice as many stars as usual.

Had an absolute whirlwind of a weekend celebrating two of my favorite people getting married! Congrats to the lucky couple @denalifoxx and @alex_ander_k . You’ve both been such a blessing to me as friends in Chicago over the years, and I’m so thankful that you included me in this momentous occasion. I cannot wait for what this next chapter brings and to keep spending quality time with you both ❤️
