Peace good people, PEACE

Why wait?

What a world we’re in. Not at any other moment in my adult life have I felt the impression of a rapidly changing present as I do now—in a variety of ways. I see the underdogs getting sunlight for the seemingly first time. I see war in the world with many in power choosing to sustain and CONTRIBUTE to its existence instead of demanding peace of themselves and each other. I see faith materializing, I see the tears falling, and I see the New being born consistently. If you’re reading this, I champion and encourage you - do it now.

I’ve been an pursuing perfect rhymes for 22 years, I started as a pre-teen. Many of you have seen the growth, witnessed the milestones, stayed with me during the uncertainty, and watched me become a man. Without a doubt, despite the love and joy for my story, the LIGHTMAN epoch clearly stands out as a leap because it was PERSONALLY a first. I drew the line, analyzed the harsh gaps in my work, and reapproached music-making to ensure more of me was actually in there, not just ideas of who I am. This run produced back to back to back tours, I performed in states and countries I only dreamed of, and I saw the songs translate in real time. We bet on ourselves and returned home safely. And I felt seen by you all when invisibility felt inevitable, ALWAYS with faith, but while dealing with that potential reality in the back of my mind as I submitted myself more to God and less to my dreams alone. I’m not forcing my eyes to fit into how someone else views the future anymore. LIGHTMAN put its foot down for that.

Getting a nomination for something made so purely would be a blessing; winning would be a miracle, but simply DOING it is the reward, honestly.

May any and everyone be encouraged to CAPITALIZE your name every now and then. Humility is a requirement but don’t be smaller than necessary. Be big when it’s needed. If you’re a voting member, give us a chance, a listen or just salute us for still being passionate about contributing to music for this long in these times and for these times.

We already won.
We’re breathing and doing something about it.

Blessings,
Radamiz

Every now and then staying on your path leads to meetings on the road that feel long overdue yet punctual: one of those for me is to present this song with @salomonfaye

Salomon has been one of my favorite artists to watch and listen to since I first got hip to his work maybe 12 years ago. He’s always had a fire, a tension, a vast arsenal to his craft and a willingness to tastefully create war, solace and quality through his work and steps.
There’s been many interactions of us coexisting but to have “CH (Strong Version)” be where we present something together is a gift. AND we made it right next to each other on the final sessions of the Alive album.
Besides paying attention to this, please dig into Salo’s discography and brace yourself for the imminent release of his next album - “Book Of Salomon”

Here’s some words from the man himself on this piece:

For me this song spoke to me out the gate !
I was attracted to the idea of not knowing how strong we are, & sometimes realizing the extent of our strength as life unfolds. “I didn’t know that I would be this strong” “They didn’t know that I would be this strong”

My part of the live version was a therapeutic process. In my personal life I had experienced what felt like a major loss that I was still recovering from. Writing this verse was the step that allowed to make peace with my circumstances and the process of overcoming a challenge in my life. There’s a line that didn’t necessarily make the cut for the verse but couldn’t escape the inner experience when I was writing. It would have came after the phrase
“& I can’t blame no one else, so I blame myself..” the line is… “& I forgive myself”.
Just to share a little about what the song means to be, and express my gratitude to Radamiz for seeing my response to the original song to then invite me to contribute to the live version. Thank you .
