I feel 🫀 therefore I create 🪽

Reflecting on creations of the past feels, to me, like opening up a burried time capsule.

Something was brought to life through the energy that was present in that moment, that day, that week or perhaps that season.

That energy was channeled and became sacrosanct, bound to that which it created.

The energy was given form to continue its existence, to live a life of its own, independent of he (or she) who channeled it.

Time passes.
It gets opened back up later.
It looks slightly different.
It doesn’t feel quite the same.
But of course, a reminense of the source energy remains: shielded and protected by the physical manifestion in which it was encapsulated.

Has the creation really changed at all?
Or is it the creator who has changed?

Has the object aged?
Or has the perspective of the observer shifted?

It is the greatest gift in the world to look back at something that once caused you pain, but to now see only beauty.

That, my friends, is alchemy.

Shoutout to my brother @championsmithcreative every, single, time. My alchemical aid 🤍 🎥

They say time flies, it sure does 🌎 🌍 🌏

I left the UK 8 months ago to start travelling the world intermittently (back and forth every month) with the intention to form new relationships, gain skills to grow @inrhythm, and generally enrich and expand myself with experiences that I couldn’t obtain on home soil — all while maintaining close regular contact with family.

Since then I’ve taken 28 flights… from UK 🇬🇧 -> USA 🇺🇸 -> UK 🇬🇧 -> NZ 🇳🇿 -> UK 🇬🇧 -> Thailand 🇹🇭 -> UK 🇬🇧 -> Thailand 🇹🇭 -> UK 🇬🇧 -> Australia 🇦🇺 -> UK 🇬🇧 -> USA -> UK 🇬🇧

I’ve been living out of a suitcase the entire time, which has been equal parts liberating and destabilising.

There’s been huge ups, huge downs, and everything in between.

I wouldn’t change a moment of it; I can honestly say it has been one of the most enlightening, enriching, and at times exhausting, experiences of my life.

It has taught me invaluable lessons about the reality of what I thought I wanted, but actually don’t, and what I actually need, but never previously realised.

At this stage of my life, these feel like the most powerful lessons I could be receiving.

Every month getting clearer about exactly what it is that I want to build and experience in this life.

And finally… I’m so glad it’s over (for now).

Looking forward to settling down in the UK for summer, and 100% locking in on the future mission 🔒

Thank you to everyone who has helped facilitate a deep transformation in me over the past year.

There are too many of you to mention, but some special thanks go to @jaikaps @marisa.milou @danielebbett @championsmithcreative @athletic_approach @daltonjaykelsey @iamleonavalon @thekatarinacarter @mrjakecarter @elipsamusic for the friendship, guidance and lessons 🤍

One more flight back to Guernsey 🇬🇬 this man can’t wait to get home 😬

😮‍💨 Such an epic response to Solar Selection over the past week!

I curated this mix when I was going through a rufffffff patch.

I was in one of the brightest and most beautiful places I’d ever visited on the planet, but I felt the darkest and ugliest inside.

Laying out these tracks was my way of revealing, feeling and healing the pain that was present for me.

It reminded me of the alchemy that’s available to all of us through the power of sound.

Standing on the side of that cliff and playing those tracks literally felt like a spiritual exorcism.

Sharing it cemented my healing process and provided me closure where there previously was none.

It turns out a lot of you resonated 🙏🏼❤️ big ups

The story behind Solar Selection 🗣️

The mix should come with a trigger warning 🚨

It’s deep, real deep 🕳️

If you’re listening to it and stuff comes up…

Sit with it 🧘🏼‍♂️ Breathe with it 🫁 Feel through it ❤️

We so often disrespect our emotions by running away and hiding from them.

Once we reveal, feel and heal — the world is ours 🙃

Love fam 🙏🏼

🌞 Solar Selection is live 🎧

Watch/listen now on YouTube & Soundcloud (link in bio).

📍 Filmed at Bottle Beach Viewpoint above the jungle in Koh Phangan, Thailand 🇹🇭

It’s a collection of some of my favourite deep liquid drum and bass, arranged for my own processes of deep emotional contemplation and navigating the spaces between what was and what’s next 🙃

In case you didn’t already know; music heals ❤️
