Today is hard, but every day is hard. If you aren’t familiar, October 15th holds the Wave of Light, an international day of remembrance of babies we lost far too soon. When we lit our candle tonight and said a prayer, Graydon said, “This was nice. But this is also every day.” Which is completely true. Every single day is spent remembering what it felt like to carry my son, getting to see him grow so often (thanks to my heaven sent coworkers who scanned me just about every day, while going through their own trials), thinking about what life would be like right now with a 10 month old. But, today is important to put words to those daily thoughts. To speak outwardly about our son that was not given a fair chance, about our little embryo girls that I didn’t have to opportunity to have more time with. There is power in talking about the devastation. There is power and freedom in having conversation about the ones you loved and lost. Thank you Jesus for letting me experience the bond that I felt with my son, I will think of that every single day. I am so lucky to have those memories, despite the heartbreak that followed. If you have experienced loss, my heart is with you in every possible way, this is the most brutal thing to endure. My heart goes out to all of you parents missing a child, wishing you were able to leave the hospital with a child, hoping and praying for a miracle, and those in the waiting. I never knew such tragedy existed. But I am still so thankful for God’s blessings, and I believe in the hope that He has given me, and that one day I will have a precious baby that I can talk about their big brother and embabies to. 🤍🕯️
