The Callicoon Marketplace continues to evolve. We are excited for the rest of the year and the transformation that will take place so stay tuned. Please- if you see Patrice running around- give her a shoutout. I have been unable to run the show and Patrice has shouldered the load. She has done so brilliantly and with grace. I could not have asked for a better co-worker! the building will continue to be awesome in no small part because of her!! A thank you to all the business that at one time called the marketplace home. Every business lent to the feeling and tone of the building!May you continue to flourish! @thecallicoonpantry @wool.worth @m_j_b__1.1.1 @the.herbal.scoop @grizzlybagels @catskillsvintageart rogerthatbakery @countyroadbakery

One of our favorite Saturday rituals in the Catskills: the Barryville Farmers’ Market. Beside the Delaware River, this market brings together local farmers, makers and neighbors. A few favorites include OHF Orchards grabbed some fresh corn, the OG Grizzly Bagels for handmade bagels and pretzels, and Channery Hill for delicious dressings, sauces, sauerkraut, herbs and spices. You’ll also find local vegetables, mushrooms, flowers, baked goods, cheese, fresh juices, prepared food, clean skincare, handmade treasures and live music. Amazing dog treats (We missed you Lilly bear) Fresh food, wonderful people and money going directly back into our local community. I bring my purity coffee and hang out for breakfast !! Saturdays, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. 3405 NY-97, Barryville, New York #BarryvilleFarmersMarket #BarryvilleNY #SullivanCatskills #SupportLocal #mindfulmotel

Oops, I missed World Refill Day yesterday! Good thing every day is refill day here…in fact, we’ve been filling your containers with various bits & bobs for nearly SEVEN years now. Many of you have been with us since the beginning, but if you’re new to the Pantry, you should know that refilling is the very heart of what we do here. Yes, we have a bangin’ snack selection and fun gifts and are slowly expanding our offerings to be more of a one-stop grocery shop. But for the first few years, bulk pantry staples and body care were the crux of our offerings. Swipe to see some realllll throwback photos (old logo, different layouts, past shop neighbors and all). I’ve never done an analysis of containers saved over time (mostly because I’m busy making sure the day-to-day is taken care of) but I can tell you that the number would be a LOT. So many, in fact, that you’ve really honed my refilling skills. Regular mouth, wide mouth, plastic, glass, aluminum, screw top, weck—we’ve refilled them all, and are endlessly grateful that you care enough about this planet and the life on it that you lug your containers here, over and over again. May we keep doing it for many years to come 🫶

A moment of appreciation for freshly-painted Marketplace floors! Mud season is coming so we’re admiring them as much as we can now. Come shop with our vendors, sit at the front table, and stomp your feet along these beauties this weekend.

Frigid temperatures + a warm building + slow days? We’ll always make the most of it here. All our vendors are here for you today! If you are able to make it out, come show them some love. Stock up on Super Bowl snacks. Get your bread and eggs for the week. Grab a book or puzzle to pass the wintery time. Most importantly, stay warm everyone! If you need a cozy place with wifi to pass the time, you can always hang out in our community space up front. You could even impart a design of your own in our frosty windows. ❄️

Sundays are for the girls 👯‍♀️ For real though—I think I can speak for everyone when I say that those of us who were in the Marketplace today had a top-tier day with you all. Not in a monetary way necessarily, but in all the kindness, warmth, support, and love you showed us. Being a part of the Marketplace is a real treat, but being part of this community is irreplaceable. Holiday schedule coming tomorrow so you know when to find all the Marketplace goods you’ve come to know and love. Happy holidays everyone, and thank you for everything you do to keep this building buzzing with energy. We could never do it without you!

What an incredible time we had at Dickens on the Delaware last weekend! Dare I say this is the most festive the Marketplace has ever been for this infamous yearly event. Krampus totally stole the show; kids & adults alike were enamored with her costume and commitment to character. The building was packed with people all day and all of our vendors are grateful for the love & support. Holiday hours coming soon, you know we are busy behind the scenes ensuring that you can come get what you need all week over here. Til next year, Dickens!

T’was the night before Dickens and all through the Marketplace, the vendors were prepping, stocking their shelves with grace. The specials were crafted by small businesses with care, in hopes that their customers would soon be there. Come one, come all to this jolly good time, from 11-6 it is sure to be sublime. 🎄
