Can two creatures created for destruction find peace within themselves?

With unknown enemies closing in, and the Dark Lands stirring for the first time in a decade, Sevea and Mika must face their bloody pasts to save the people they hold dear, or drown in its dark lakes.

But the dark is full of secrets, and while battling their growing trust of each other, betrayal looms near.

Teeming with witchcraft and blood magic, When Sinners Sing is perfect for fans who yearn for the angelic and gothic atmosphere of The Mortal Instruments.

Flashback to South Africa.

To celebrate the conclusion of our whirlwind Worst Week Ever book tour of Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town our wonderful @jonathanballpublishers publicist extraordinaire @chantedxplessis treated us to a delectable wine-tasting experience in the caves of @kleinroosboom Family Boutique Winery. 😍🍇🍷 (The ‘caves’ are actually old fermentation tanks for wine. Ours for the afternoon was themed as the Bubblio-tique.)

A beautiful afternoon to reflect on everything we had done during our trip and to enjoy some more amazing food & wine! Thank you @jonathanballkids ❤️

South Africa was a beautiful blur! We crammed sooooo much into two wonderful weeks of our Worst Week Ever Book Tour. We met so many cool kids and saw so many incredible sights. We’ll never forget it! Thank you so much to Chanté, Zwanga, Jean-Marie and the whole @jonathanballpublishers team for welcoming us like family while treating us like rockstars. ❤️❤️❤️

Tourist time!

With all our offical book tour engagements finished we had a chance to explore Cape Town with some of the @jonathanballpublishers crew, starting with a walking tour of beautiful Bo-Kaap, the historical and cultural center of the Cape Malay community. Thanks to our incredible guide, resident Elias, we were so lucky to be invited into the homes of some legendary locals for tales and tasty treats. We even had an inspiring chat with iconic sporting legend Fagmie Solomons! Eva loved taking photos of the colourful buildings and spice shopping.

We had a great time at @curro_uitzicht, an assisted learning school in Cape Town, during our Worst Week Ever book tour. The students were so engaged and excited with so many cool questions and fun ideas for us.

Thanks again to the @jonathanballkids team for being there and all their support on the day, and to our brilliant bookseller for the perfectly presented pop-up bookstore! 😍📚

It was so special to visit @jonathanballpublishers Cape Town HQ in the impressive Media 24 building! Such a cool location and great offices. Views to the mountains, views to the ocean and filled with the most wonderful people. We were introduced to absolutely everyone, who all stopped what they were doing to chat and welcome us. ❤️ After spending so much time with the @jonathanballkids crew at all of our events it was lovely to see them in their offices, where all the magic - and hard work - happens. ❤️📚

A tonne of fun at Western Province Preparatory School @wetpups_ in Cape Town on our Worst BEST Week Ever South African book tour.

The boys were a fantastic, enthusiastic audience and the librarians, as always, were brilliant. The decorations to transform the library were so cool and we got to meet all the awesome library monitors too! (We noticed Worst Week Ever is up against Wimpy Kid in the school’s Book Cup 2026!! 🤞🤞)

Thanks to the Exclusive Books @ebcavendish team for being there to sell copies of Worst Week Ever and a huge thanks to the Cape Town @jonathanballkids crew for turning out in force to cheer us on! ❤️

An amazing day visiting Masiphumelele Primary School in Makahaza, Khayelitsha where @capetalkza, Cape Town’s number 1 news and talk radio station, was broadcasting live. We were very excited to be guests on the Lunch With Pippa Hudson show where we discussed our careers and even read an extract from Worst Week Ever.

@pjchudson was a brilliant host and interviewer but the students of the school also stepped up impressively to ask us some very incisive questions about our books and characters. It was a privilege to be part of such a special day and to meet the wonderful students and passionate staff of Masiphumelele Primary School. Thank you for having us! ❤️

And thanks to @jonathanballkids for donating a full set of Worst Week Ever we were able to sign for the school. 📚

Touch down in Cape Town for a day of interviews!

Thank you to Pagecast podcast for having us. The top floor studio had stunning views of the majestic mountains and the crew were so welcoming and professional. Special thanks to our interviewer Mia van der Merwe, (who is also a talented illustrator) for being such an enthusiastic host and knowing the Worst Week Ever series back to front.

Following on from that we had an enjoyable, in-depth interview with thoughtful magazine journalist Charise Torrance about our time in South Africa, our creative process and how to engage young readers. So many great questions that allowed us to reflect on our career, past and present.

We enjoyed both conversations immensely. Episode and articles on their way! Will keep you posted.

Thanks again to the @jonathanballkids team, as the Cape Town crew stepped in to welcome us on this leg of our South African book tour. ❤️📚🇿🇦

And thanks again to the @jonathanballkids team for everything!
