𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 (2025) and 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 (2023 image 4) are part of ‘Sorores Liquidae’, a group exhibition currently at @carvalhonewyork !

𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 , a recent iteration of dapke dancers, is from my ‘Stay Longer’ series presented last year at @nicodimgallery . ‘Sorores Liquidae’ thoughtfully coincides with the 5th edition of Carvalho’s performance series that opened with a living meadow by Nicole Rossi; choreographed by Andrew Skeels and performed by Lloyd Knight and Jacquelin Harris. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗞𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘆 invites 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗝𝗮𝗼𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗵, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗲, 𝗛𝗼𝗱𝗮 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗮, and 𝗥𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗯 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗵 to discuss their differences rather than similarities. This conversation among artists, peers, and friends, all tied to Tiohtià:ke - Mooniyang - Montreal, stems from Khoury’s ongoing desire to engage with SWANA communities while breaking hierarchies of knowledge.

Montréal! I’ll be heading back down south soon once again, but before I do that, I’m excited to take part in this group show at @tapartspace ‘s new space at 3333 Crémazie E. with some fantastic artists. I’m going to try to catch up with all those I haven’t yet caught up with in these coming weeks, and in the meantime, come say hi! This show is going to be a good one.
