We first met Chill The Aruban Cat back in 2023, when he was a feral tom cat in Aruba. We trapped him and had him sterilized through Animal Welfare Alliance Aruba, never imagining what his life would eventually become.

Fast forward to today, and this handsome guy is now the official ambassador for Diana’s Pancakes, where he is loved, spoiled, and very much living his best life. He’s become such a local celebrity that he even has his own Facebook page and merch!

But during our visit to see our Windmill kitties in April, we noticed something wasn’t right with Chill’s mouth. We took him to the vet, where we learned he had severe stomatitis.

With veterinary treatment, lots of love and care, and Choolip VitaSticks added to his daily routine, Chill started making incredible progress. His mouth improved much faster than expected, and it has been so wonderful watching him get back to being the Chill we know and love.

Now that we’re back in Aruba, we are so grateful to @choolip for generously donating VitaSticks for the kitties. Their soft, lickable texture makes them especially easy for cats like Chill who may be dealing with a sore or sensitive mouth, while providing extra nutritional support along the way.

We are so happy to help keep the handsome Mr. Chill healthy! ❤️

And we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who has been part of his story—from helping us get this handsome fella sterilized, to caring for him, loving him, feeding him, and turning him into the little Aruba celebrity he is today.

A huge thank you to Choolip for supporting our kitties and donating VitaSticks for us to bring to Aruba after hearing his story! Partnerships like these help us give a little extra love and support to cats who have already overcome so much.

Chill’s story is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together for one animal. From the streets in 2023 to Mr. Chill, Ambassador of Diana’s Pancakes in 2026…

We’d say he landed on his paws. 🐾

Throwback Thursday 💔

These puppies were dumped in a remote area with little to no chance of survival. Sadly, this happens far too often—but it doesn’t have to.

With free spay and neuter services available to everyone on the island through @stimamisterilisami, unwanted litters can be prevented before they’re born into a life of suffering. Prevention is the most compassionate way to end the cycle of abandonment, neglect, and overpopulation.

Every spay and neuter saves lives.

❤️ Please be part of the solution.

Spay and neuter—it has to start somewhere.
Every unwanted litter means more animals suffering, more strays on the streets, and more pressure on Aruba’s limited resources. But together, we can break the cycle.

🐾 Follow our journey
🐾 Share our mission

And if you can, donate to support our spay and neuter work where every dollar is matched.
Because every small action brings us one step closer to ending pet overpopulation.

Be their voice. Be their solution.
Support Animal Rights.

Congratulations to our Junior Board Member Milan Murvay @chaotically.cats on her graduation from Veterinary Technician school today!

From day one, you’ve had an undying love for animals — especially the ones that no one wants. You took that passion and turned it into a career. Your heart is huge, and we know you’ll save so many creatures in your lifetime.

We are beyond proud of you for following your heart and doing what you love. You’ve worked tirelessly, overcome challenges, and stayed true to your calling. Today, you graduate as a Veterinary Technician — but more than that, you step into the world as a true advocate for every animal who needs a voice.

Congratulations, Milan! The animal world is lucky to have you and we are even luckier to have you on our team!🐾

While walking the streets in Madiki, we came across this senior toothless dog, who we’ve lovingly named Rooster. He has been on his own for far too long. His frail tick-infested body shows the signs of starvation and a life without care. Despite his condition, Rooster’s gentle eyes still hold a spark of hope, a testament to his resilient spirit.
We couldn’t leave him there. He was struggling to breathe in the heat. With the help of @lunafoundation , we brought him to @vsh.aruba where we did an ultrasound and found fluid around his heart. More tests to come, including the dreaded heart worm. For now, he is resting comfortably and being fed a high quality food. He’s had Nextguard and a bath and enjoying being catered to! He deserves a forever home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love and comfort. AND…we think we have found the perfect place!
