@avatarnetflix episode 203:
city of walls and secrets

my first episode I cut for the series… and first @americancinemaeditors credit! many iconic moments that I loved putting together. directed by Anu Menon, written by Helen Shang, stunning cinematography by Simon Chapman, and beautiful music by Takeshi Furukawa. and couldn’t have done it without my amazing assistant Joe D’Alessio! beyond blessed to have been a part of this project 🪨

Finally met my long time fan and follower @chappydop today. Whist I behaved pretty badly due to a pizza that was ordered on the next table, I do appreciate him capturing my good side in this photo…

Some #Highpotential BTS. We shot this opening dance scene deep into the pilot shoot. It was super late and we were behind in the schedule. I asked our amazing steadicam operator, Björn Hermannes, how long he could hold the rig. He said “35 mins”. We then shot the whole dance, racing around the bullpen shooting all the pieces that @jeffreymortensen had prepared. Never called cut. Never would have worked if @kaitlinolson wasn’t such a damn pro. A great memory.

Some fav’s from behind the scenes on the pilot of @highpotentialabc.

Congrats to the brilliant folks at the helm. No. 1 new drama by a landslide, as it should be.

And to the sensational crew who worked their asses off, kept us warm and dry, drove us all over at all hours, glamourized this tired mama, let me play dress-up in clothing worth an annual salary, curled and re-curled my hair (sorry Angie!), painted epic bruises, built heat packs into thermals - and on and on. I see your work and I’m so thankful.
