BLOC IS BACK, AND IS COMING TO THE CAUSE.

Twenty years since the first Bloc Weekender, one of UK electronic music’s most-loved institutions returns for one day and night only. Just once, properly.

On Saturday 6 March the legendary party takes over all spaces of The Cause for a 16 hour marathon spanning the best in Techno, Electro & Rave.

We still have plenty more to reveal, but to give you an bit of insight of the shape of things to come, here is the first wave of artists and takeovers landing for is set to be a mega return.

A host of DJs, musicians and club collectives including @ben___ufo, @yazminlacey and @hot.chip have joined the line-up for a major anti-far right rally set to take place in London later this month.

On Saturday March 28, @r3_soundsystem’s House Against Hate collective will take over Trafalgar Square as thousands of demonstrators descend on central London to oppose the rise of the far right in Britain. The rally is part of a national mobilisation organised by the Together Alliance, a coalition of cultural figures and activist groups formed to push back against growing racist and nationalist movements.

The rally is being organised by R3 Soundsystem in association with groups including Amnesty International,@lovemusichateracism and @chooselove, bringing together DJs, record labels, activists and nightlife organisations around a shared political message.

It comes amid growing concern over the strength of far-right politics in the UK. Though the progressive @thegreenparty has seen a surge in support following its victory in the Gorton and Denton by-election, Nigel Farage’s Reform UK currently leads most national polling ahead of the next general election, campaigning on policies including mass migrant deportations and the creation of an ICE-style immigration enforcement agency.

According to the 2026 State of Hate report, released this week, Reform UK is expected to make significant advances in the May local elections. The report also found that two-thirds of Reform party members hold a positive view of Robinson’s movement, while a majority support policies such as banning the burqa and rolling back equality legislation.

For organisers, the March 28 demonstration is intended as both a protest and a celebration of community resistance.

Ahead of my return to @fieldmaneuvers this weekend I spoke to @heromag about the festival, DIY spaces any taking photos in those spaces. They asked me to share a selection of them. I usually keep my photography and dj life separate but realise they are very intertwined :) I have been posting photos on @meetingintheaisle_ for the last 8 or so years but plan to take stuff off here and somewhere more intentional very soon ———
