POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

👀📖September Reads 📖👀

It was a Total of three books. But boy I had fun!

These were not normal books, they were three gargantuan books that transported me to another dimension 📚 and for that deserve a post each of their own… (to follow)

This brings me up To date with The Maasverse and I am ready for ACOTAR 6! But what the fuck did happen in 1,2,3,4, and 5 because I’ve fucking forgotten…

Also my Throne of Glass journey was in early 2024 and guys, I just don’t have the time to read this readathon again!

Anyone got a recap, anyone got theories ?

Summer Books☀️🕶️🍹

Had to be books with summer in the title after the sunshine we have been having this week!!!

Has it made the work day tougher… maybe, are we all super sweaty… guilty but do we love it when the sun finally makes an appearance in the UK even if it’s not the school summer holidays yet… yeah we do 🙈🤣

𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓼 𝓞𝓯 𝓦𝓲𝓵𝓵 By Jessa Hastings

I’ve not seen this book much on the ‘gram but the cover drew me in and I’m soooo glad I judged the book by its cover!!

This story completely consumed me. It’s messy and emotional, tender and heartbreaking and it’s so deeply character-driven in a way that just gets under your skin.
I loved everything about it - the complicated relationships, the tension, the vulnerability…it’s the kind of story where no one is perfect, the characters are flawed yet relatable.
The writing was sharp and lyrical and sort of similar to Coco Mellors, Christina Lauren, Colleen Hoover and Carley Fortune books.
If you love emotionally intense, slightly chaotic, beautifully written stories this one is for you ♡

QOTD: Have you recently read a book that you’ve not seen doing the rounds and loved?

Blonde—but make it smart.

No bleach. No drama. Just controlled, subtle lift that keeps your hair strong while we build your blonde the right way.
At Cleavers Hair Design, it’s not a quick fix—it’s a strategy.
Softer start. Stronger finish. Better blonde. ✨

In Her Own League by Liz Tomforde ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

OMG I wanted another book in the Windy City series but this was THE book!! Absolutely on par with my favourite of the series Caught Up 🧡🧡🧡

Liz Tomforde knows how to write a strong female - Reese is a business woman who takes no shit, a lover who can be strong in more ways than one and a bad ass in killer heels!

She finds her equal in Emmett Montgomery, coach for the Warriors baseball team. The ultimate caregiver to everyone in his life who finally finds someone her can let look after him🥰🥰🥰

Their story has its ups and downs but as with the rest of the series family finds a way through - I’m so glad we got to see my favourite characters from the other books and have Monty be the FMC🥰🥰🥰

💙 November Wrap Up 🩵

Only 3 books for me in November which leaves me just 1 month to try and hit my years reading goal by reading 8 books 🤪 somehow I don’t think I’ll achieve it and actually I’m ok with that! I read because I enjoy it, it helps to relax my busy brain and I don’t want books to ever feel like a chore by putting pressure on myself!

My favourite this month (and probably one of my favs of the year) was Demon Copperhead by @barbara.kingsolver - a chonky one but sooooo worth it!!

How did you all get on? And any recommendations of short books to help me through December?! 🧐🫠
