A little spooky tune – let the skeletons dance! 🎻

Last week cellist Charae Krueger and violinist Marisa Votapek came to town for GTMF’s Musician Residency program. They worked with Teton County music students across Jackson, mentored students and performed lovely and spooky pieces at local schools – do you know which one this is?

Thank you to our local teachers, student musicians and GTMF musicians for a wonderful week!

🎻 GEORGIAN CHAMBER PLAYERS — SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18TH @ 3:45PM 🎻

You thought Eddie's Attic was a one-trick pony, didn't you? We see you. We're far from it.

This Sunday we've got the Georgian Chamber Players in the room, one of Atlanta's most celebrated chamber ensembles and a group that has shared the stage with Emanuel Ax, Andre Watts, Shlomo Mintz, and Janos Starker. Founded in 1984 by principal players of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, they've spent four decades performing masterpieces of the chamber repertoire at the highest level. Now they're bringing it to 177 seats in Decatur for a Sunday afternoon you won't forget.

Tickets at eddiesattic.com. Link in bio.

The end of Summer is tough for me but thank goodness it’s the beginning of the performing arts season! Here’s my recap of the last few weeks…

I met Bryn briefly before the pandemic in the beginning of her career with the Atlanta opera and how amazing to see how much she’s grown as a singer and performer without losing that spark that makes her special. Bravi to all three performers! More of this!

Part of the August Threepeat series at the Tavern. So fun to see a full cast of women take on this whole production 💪

I told y’all, I’m still in the classical music biz 😎 proud to work with these artists!

Pregaming for the Rosalia concert with laughs and tutus at the lovely Orlando Ballet studios where our dear Jackie Nash Gill & Heath Gill are thriving. We got ready for this concert like it was a wedding (between us and Rosalia), it was basically an opera and y’all, the audience was here for it (so like f the haters that say that classical music is dead lol nah, boo!) Bellisimo ver a Rosalia y su directora musical con todos los pasos prohibidos @yudi_dirige 🤩

Back in Atlanta for two nights and thanks to @sicily_mae got to see my AB darlings perform this MARATHON of strength rep show and hear a great artists talk about the process. Never disappointed with these amazing artists (&basically olympic level athletes; my knees still hurt after Stars&Stripes and I was just watching lol)

I was this summer years old when I realized all these free concerts around town were basically thanks to @ecmsa1992 . Loved their season opener at Emory’s gorgeous hall & kids’ program at Fernbank 🤩 My son’s review of the concert: “Where is the dancer director at the front?” (His usual issue with chamber music is the lack of conductor 🥸). Franco is a pro, he stayed seated and attentive the whole time but said at the end, “they need a dancing area for kids… it was so hard to stay still with that music! It made me want to dance!” Sorry, Will, but dancers always have feedback 🤪

Terminus opens their season with a baaaaang (&a fan 🪭💨). A world premiere (&heart racing partnering masterclass) by @smartinezchoreography and my fave combo… a back to back @heathgill.moves vs Tara Lee cre

The dog days of summer were packed to the brim, and now back in NYC with some early fall weather, I'm taking a moment to appreciate the last month and a half.

From the gorgeous views of the Grand Canyon, Santa Fe, and Idyllwild, a deeply meaningful wedding weekend between two of my closest friends, one inspiring performance after another, and lots of quality time with my wonderful wife (even including a quick jaunt to Vegas in between things!), it's been a whirlwind I will not forget.

Now, time to put on long sleeves and get back to work!

The music is back! On Friday we opened our 34th season with Tchaikovsky’s exuberant “Souvenir of Florence,” featuring guest artists @lukewfleming and @whoisabby, joined by @charaek and our own @vegaquartet. Luke Fleming also gave the first masterclass of the 2026-2027 season on Saturday. We were so happy to see our patrons and supporters at our opening weekend events! #classicalmusic #atlantaclassicalmusic #chambermusic #ecmsa
