POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I was watching everyone else post their school year recaps and kept debating if I should post mine too. I honestly didn’t know if anyone would really care to look through all the videos and pictures, but this year meant too much to me not to share.

This past school year truly changed me in the best way possible. Being so far from home was scary at first, but somehow this place became a second home to me. I met some of the most genuine people, built friendships and connections I’ll always cherish, and was surrounded by teachers and mentors who truly saw potential in me and wanted the absolute best for my future. To feel supported, encouraged, and cared for while being miles away from everything familiar meant more to me than I can even explain.

As an artist, performer, and dancer, I feel like I grew so much this year. I would like to truly truly thank all of my teachers. I learned more about my craft, about discipline, about confidence, and honestly about myself. I had the opportunity to be cast in such beautiful pieces and every rehearsal, performance, and late night was worth it. I loved every second of the experience. Joining a team and then ending the semester as captain is something I’ll never take for granted. That moment meant so much to me because it reminded me that all the hard work, growth, and passion never go unnoticed.

I genuinely love being here. SHSU has given me experiences, memories, and people that I know will stay with me forever, and I’m beyond grateful for everything this year brought into my life.

So maybe nobody cares to watch every clip the way I do, but these moments matter to me. And if you do decide to watch, I hope you enjoy getting a glimpse into a year that I’ll never forget.

25–26… you don’t owe me anything 💕✨

Grading has really kicked my 🍑 this semester, but man have I loved teaching all of these guys.

Crit and Choreo II- thank you all for sharing my first “real professor” (adjucnct pool faculty) semester with me. To be in the room with you has brought me more joy than I could have imagined.

Thank you thank you for your banter, innovation, thoughtfulness, effort, resilience, rebelliousness, and care.

For you:
- Ask questions
- Write shitty drafts
- Get it wrong to get it right
- Start with story
- Back your claims with evidence
- Interpret creative prompts liberally
- When in doubt, say “fuck it!” (like a very proper auntie)
- Pay attention to the details
- Fight for truth over convenience
- Play both the short game and the long game
- Take a nap
- Prioritize with purpose
- Use small words that mean big things.

Love you so so big 🫶🫶

(Could only tag 20 people so if you aren’t in the first picture, feel free to tag yourself and/or friends in the comments!)
