My heart broke into a million pieces learning that my cousin Dion “ @budaquan ” Jackson had passed away. He was one of the most brilliant music producers, rappers, actors, & songwriters i’ve ever met. A radio legend here in Chicago & other markets. The first person in my family to touch the stars. He worked with everybody & He was loved by so many. I’ll never forget going to @wgci with him and hearing his callers live, they were so excited to talk to him & laugh with him. No one had a better laugh. Working on music with him was always a dream come true. His beats have played on repeat in my head daily my whole life. I always wanted to collab with him. We made some fun songs together. Some i’m still working on. And though i’m sad he’s gone, and i wish things had turned out differently, i’m grateful that every single time we talked in person or on the phone i told him i loved him. He accomplished a TON in a short period of time, & i looked up to him for as long as i can remember. When you really love someone & they die, its like losing a part of yourself. The pain is real & deep. But he left me a world of music & a lifetime of good memories. For that i can only be grateful. Rest in peace cousin. I ask all my friends to pray for my family during this time. God is still on the throne. May his love & grace cover us all now & forever.
