Tell the EPA to stop allowing toxic #CoalAsh waste to remain in groundwater and move it away from our waterways. Attend the virtual hearing on September 3 and/or submit written comments through September 14: blackwarriorriver.org/coal-ash-hearing-and-comments/

DID YOU KNOW? Coal ash is the toxic waste that remains after coal is burned. It contains high concentrations of heavy metals, including mercury, arsenic, selenium, chromium, lead, radium, and other pollutants which are hazardous to human health, wildlife, and our waterways. In humans, these contaminants can cause developmental defects, cancer, and a large range of other illnesses. For decades, utilities have stored coal ash in unlined pits next to rivers and lakes that provide drinking water, recreation, and wildlife habitat.

A year ago @shaheedanddjsupreme and @knowledgerhythmunderstanding along with The @bplpics present our newest single “Knowledge of Shelf”. This song is about the importance of libraries and how they were so influential in our upbringing. Libraries are institutions of Knowledge that should be preserved in every generation. Let’s make going to the library great again. Thanks to the legendary Darrell Thorp for mixing and mastering this song. We should appreciate the library and librarians. Go and grab and support this project at the links below
