You can teach an old dog new tricks. Safe to say fishing streamers hasn’t always been my go to. In fact, until a couple years ago I never really fished streamers. My buddy @brastatrout gets all the credit for turning me onto the magic of streamer fishing! We had a float and he was all about it. I watched and learned and now I’m addicted. Yesterday was a classic streamer day. Cold, wind and overcast. @__liamerickson and I set out to fish a stretch of river that I never fun float. We were on a mission to chuck meat all day. The first mile was slow. We tried several patterns and colors and nothing works. I remembered a comment from Drew @anglersall who said that a Black Baby Gonga was the money fly for this river. Everybody has their confidence fly. We tied one on and went to work. The fishing was magic! Never to old to learn and never to young to try.

17,000+ miles and over 100 hours of travel round trip all with one goal in mind. Catching a Giant Trevally on the fly.

Mission Accomplished ✅

Unreal trip to @noboundariesoman Caught 17 new species including my number one bucket list fish. Special shoutout to the Broomtail Wrasse, peak stoke was achieved off that fish.

Huge thank you to the guides (@d__a__z__z and @ben_jollyy ) and crew of the Notus Temptress for working so hard all week, and to @fish_a_day for putting together an amazing group to share it with. Can’t wait to do it again soon.

@josh_kerpy @backcast_bo @ng_gt4ever pleasure fishing with you boys.
