Never stops trying to get better as an athlete, and is ALWAYS COACHING when she’s not competing! You need motivation? Ask her! You need prayer? Ask her! She’s got you!

The baseball player standing right in the center is my oldest son — Kaden.
He’s a senior in college, still playing the game he’s loved since he was three years old… honestly, since birth. Baseball has always been his heartbeat.
One thing I’ve always taught my kids — and every athlete I’ve coached — is to be humble. And let me tell you… this boy lives it. He didn’t even tell me or his dad that his team was being recognized at last week’s game. That’s just who he is.
Kaden is a natural-born leader. He’s had some of the best years of his life up at school, but it hasn’t all been easy. He’s dealt with coaches who didn’t coach fair and teammates who didn’t always play fair. But not once did he let any of that change his character.
He stayed humble.
He stayed loyal.
And he kept working.
And here’s the part that means the world to me as his mom:
When he got to college, aside from his dad (and maybe 1 or 2 other coaches) he finally landed under a coach who coaches the right way — fair, consistent, honest, and invested in his players as people. The polar opposite of what he dealt with before. This coach believes in him, pushes him, respects him, and continues to help him grow into the man you see standing front and center. Every athlete deserves a coach like that.
And I’m grateful my son finally got one.
Just wanted to brag on him — and honor the people who helped shape him — for a minute.

As my last high school track season came to an end, I couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible journey it has been. The countless hours spent training, pushing my limits, and striving for improvement were all worth it. I dedicated myself to every practice, whether it was hard workouts or just getting a little bit of work in, I felt the growth in my speed and endurance. Each race was a testament to my hard work and determination, and I’m proud of the progress I made. This season wasn’t just about competing, it was about the friendships formed and the hard lessons learned along the way. To my family, friends, coaches and teammates.. thank you for being apart of my journey and pushing me to become the person I am today. Most importantly, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to be apart of something great. There were countless times I wanted to stop and just give up, but He never let me. He would tell me every day to keep pushing and to keep going and when I didn’t give up, I got better not just as a person, but as an athlete. Thank you Cy Woods Track for all the fun memories, you will be missed dearly. I may have not finished where I wanted to, but I’m not done yet.. I am beyond excited for this next chapter in my life.
