Summer's over!

After lots of time with my mates, one million cocktails and a trip to London: I've decided autumn should be the same.

London!

I crammed so much into three days and was rewarded with so much love and joy.

Highlights included picnicking with Charly, fish and chips served with midnight tarot readings and the CSM grad shows with my favourite boat dwellers.

Whomever tires of London tires of life, etc.

Saw lots of art, had lots of giggles, and slept on The Regents Canal.

2025: a year blessed with friendship 💗

By no means are these photos the extent of all the love and joy shared with me this year, it’s great being me sometimes!
Shoutout to @nooneknows_itsyou_missjackson, on the other side of the world

Summer is over ⛈️ 🍂

What a gorgeous, chaotic and stressful time it’s been!

Fun in London, bad news in Brighton, punks in Leeds and Blackpool.
Work exhibited in Liverpool, work written in Saltaire and piles of paperwork in the living room.
Stopped being a lodger, soon to be a student, became a houseguest.
Parties in the woods, peg snakes in the garden, spiders under churches.
Kisses in the club. Australians in London, Jane McDonald in Bradford.
Birthdays and a funeral (no weddings!)
That’s all: roll on Autumn!

Friends old and new ‘down south’ 💗

A few days in London and Brighton ahead of a medical appointment down here, it’s been crazy. I’ve been feeling like the universe has been pulling my life in certain directions for a while, so many chance meetings leading to exciting places. I don’t think I’ve ever felt more loved or more hopeful.
Charly has been my rock for years, we met when we were teenagers and never looked back. This song is from the first gig I ever went to, Charly took me. I couldn’t think of someone I’d want by my side more as we stepped into (perhaps) the most important medical appointment of my life.

Catching up with Ivy and Lottie in Camden, with spooky interventions from fate at each corner. We had tarot readings and time exploring a junk shop, we even chanced upon a 1in12 album with both our parents’ respective bands on!

All this after having spent two days moving house lol. Time to rest.

The end of the year!

Hard to condense into 10 images, so here’s some musings:

- So grateful for the wonderful group of people I call my friends, who’ve helped take me through the year with their love and laughter. (Impossible to photograph you all!) @gabardineandcream and Spuddy providing so much love laughter, Pierre is pictured reminding me that audiences engage with history at different levels (literally).
@charlyrichards_ filled my heart when she came cross-country for my birthday, feeling just as close as when we were 17.
there’s no one person I’ve spent more of this year with than @shermanlovesthecure, with whom I’ve co-habited across two homes this year, and they’ll eat my cooking! A friend indeed!
Thankful for the love of my family too.

- WORK! I’ve modelled, produced events, written workshops, became a trustee!, performed of stage (and on street!), hosted a careers panel (Ikr?), attended training courses, laid charcuterie… I hope one day to be paid consistently, on time and at the proper rate, which is rare and infrequent in the culture sector!

Other events pictured include: @peterkennardx ‘s Palestinian flag that’s haunted me since I first saw a print at @upcoartsotley ,stage prop 1940s tins for use inside a pair of bloomers for Lucy A and our visit to the Manchester Textile Fair, Saltaire!, indexing the material remains of the Hebden Squat, Saturday Town exhib in Liverpool was fun and such a credit to Casey, I felt the same energy at the unveiling of @pippahale ‘s Ribbons, so many wonderful women surrounding me, you, all of us!

Well that’s enough sentimental gumpf. Feeling more like a ‘grown up’ with each passing year. Vive 2025!
