SEA ACHE is a personal testimony of Constance’s love and attachment for the sea. This exhibition is a safe space to honour the process of healing, ending a relationship and exploring the emotions humans go through with separating away from something they love.

Exploring internalised darkness, the journey of healing and finding comfort within it. SEA ACHE touches on themes of heart ache and self discovery.
Treating painting like prayer, this collection of work has been painted with emotional layering within each piece.

Through a lengthy process, predominantly using a pallet knife and other tools; many layers of acrylic and oil paint are applied, removed, and reapplied over and over again until harmony was found within each painting.

This process represents the multifaceted journey we experience with 𝓰𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓯 and 𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓼.
