Thursday 3 december, MKM at OCCII presents: Dis Fig + Asch

As a producer, performer, vocalist, and DJ, Felicia Chen (Dis Fig) has long resisted simple categorization. Chen‘s work is defined by dense, immersive sonic worlds where crushing heaviness meets startling vulnerability, anchored by a voice whose instinctive connectiveness cuts through even the densest sonic landscapes.
Known for her intensely physical live performances, Chen dissolves boundaries between audience and performer, using her acrobatic voice and full body to transmit emotional complexity that’s deeper than language. Whether through overwhelming walls of sound or barely audible whispers, her work invites shared vulnerability and collective catharsis.

Asch is an experimental noise duo emerging from the underground noise scene in the Netherlands. Formed by longtime comrades Svartvit and Geseling, the duo creates abrasive soundscapes that blend textural sound layers and electroacoustic improvisations. Their live performances are known for dense layers of distortion, feedback and immersive sonic intensity, placing them within the contemporary European industrial noise tradition. Asch has recently toured Europe, and with a debut album on the way, they are set to make a strong impact on the Dutch underground scene.

The second day of the Dead Mind Festival, October 11, is organised in collaboration with Jim of Charnel Ground, our favourite promoter of noise shows, and OCCII, our favourite venue in Amsterdam.
⠀
Kazumoto Endo is invited to deliver a second blast of intense, dynamic harsh noise and will be joined by two collaborative projects, both performing live for the first time ever: Corpse Magnetism, featuring Rudolf Eb.er, and Musica Divina, featuring Vincent Dallas and Ilkka Vekka aka Haare. It might be your only chance to see these projects live, so make sure you don’t sleep on this.
⠀
Violent Shogun is coming over from France, and we asked Awenydd to open the evening at 19:30 sharp, after witnessing his flawless performance at the Crude Transmissions Festival.

Dead Mind Festival 2026 is less than a month away. With two-thirds of the tickets sold, it looks like we’re heading for a full house on the first day, Saturday, October 10. There will probably be some tickets left at the door, but if you want to secure yours, get them here:

With three artists flying in for exclusive performances, alongside others who rarely perform live, it promises to be an event not to be missed.

This sound marathon starts at 15:00 and will finish around 23:40. Taking place in an intimate space, it brings together artists with a deeply physical and confrontational approach to sound. A meeting point for experimental music, noise and uncompromising sonic exploration.
