Planning with purpose. Building for the future. ✨

This past weekend, our Board of Directors came together for two days of strategic planning and reflecting on what’s working well, identifying opportunities for growth, and thinking boldly about the next 3, 5, 10 years and beyond for Adam’s Purpose.

We are incredibly grateful to each of our board members for their time, expertise, and commitment. A special thank you to our facilitator, Eloise Casdorph, for guiding us through this important work, and our incredible Board Chair, Charlyn, for her leadership. We would also like to thank our Executive Director, Shay, for her continued vision and dedication.

The future is bright, and we’re building it together. 💛

What does it look like to put yourself in the right rooms? 👇🏾

This past week, Coach Elitia traveled from NYC to Anaheim, CA for Social Media Marketing World 2026 alongside 5 powerful women from the Sistahbiz cohort.

Grateful to be sponsored by @sistahbiz + @southwestair to step into a space designed for growth.

And yes, being across from Disneyland felt right.

Because one thing we believe as CEOs:

👉🏾 Joy belongs in the work too.

But make no mistake, this wasn’t a getaway.
It was an opportunity to listen, observe, and sharpen how we think.

You won’t see slides here.
But you will see what matters more:
• Being in the room
• Staying curious
• Paying attention to how things are shifting
• Taking time to process what it means for the people we serve

Because growth doesn’t come from information alone. No, it comes from how you move when you’re exposed to something new.

And what we’re bringing back is simple:
We’re not here to just “do marketing.”
We’re here to communicate in a way that builds belief, trust, and real connection.

That’s the work.
That’s the standard.
That’s what our clients deserve.

Grateful to build alongside women who are doing this work for real.
Grateful to be in rooms that stretch us.
Grateful to come back sharper than we left.

And yes… we made time to enjoy it too. 😊

If you’re building something meaningful, please make sure you’re putting yourself in rooms that match that vision. And if you need business guidance and community, then join @sistahbiz

Women’s History Month means something different to me every year. This year it looked like a full room of incredible humans, honest conversation, and stories that reminded me why I started Bad News Babes Social Club in the first place.💖

Vivi Lemus built Convivio Café from her roots, her culture, and a conviction that every person who walks through the door should feel like they belong there. Charlyn Moss has helped nonprofits raise millions not by chasing donors but by building trust, and the way she talks about leadership makes you want to go back and rethink everything. Doris Yuen has been one of the loudest and most grounded voices for AANHPI representation in Colorado’s food and hospitality scene, reminding us that advocacy and business were never two separate things. Alex Jump is doing some of the most important work in hospitality right now around mental health, sustainability, and equity, asking the questions the industry keeps avoiding and building the infrastructure to actually answer them.

We gathered at The Peach Crease Club and the room held all of it. The wins, the hard lessons, the things people don’t usually say out loud. That is what BNBSC was built for.

Running for Denver City Council District 2 is one of the most meaningful things I have ever done. And nights like this remind me why. I do not take lightly the fact that people show up, give their time, and stand alongside this campaign. That kind of community is not something you can manufacture. It is earned through years of showing up for each other and I feel that every single time we are in a room together.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support. Thank you to our panelists for showing up fully and honestly. And thank you to this community for reminding me that we are not doing any of this alone.

This is just the beginning. 💐

Something I’ve learned working with clients 👇🏾

You can have all the skills in the world…
but if your personality doesn’t click, the project won’t either.

Connection matters. People work with people.

I feel so blessed to be able to have the job that I do. Most days I don’t even feel like I’m working because it’s all just so much fun. Helping build businesses and allowing them to shape their vision to share it with the world is something I’ll never take for granted. This work retreat with @working.within was nothing short of bliss. Being surrounded by such smart women wanting the make the world a better place is something I’ll never tire of. Last work trip of 2024 after a year of global travel (can’t even believe I get to say that?!) was a HIT. I’m fired up and ready to take my life and career to new heights in 2025. It’s all so exciting and feels just a little like magic.

This past week, I had the honor of attending the 9th Annual Goal Digger Business Planning Retreat with @sistahbiz to get @ebonynotes.co ready for 2025, and let me just say—it was EVERYTHING.

From the intentional details to the inspiring sessions, this retreat was exactly what I needed. Reflecting on my milestones during the very first activity shifted my mindset completely. I walked in feeling uncertain about my progress this year but left feeling confident, focused, and incredibly grateful for all I’ve accomplished (and what’s ahead).

Shoutout to @makishaboothe, the amazing Sistahbiz team, and the coaches who pour into us so much—Ashley, Natasha, Ellie, and Anita. Y’all always get it right.

Here’s to big goals, small wins, and the power of community. 💪🏾

✨ What’s one win you’re celebrating this year? Drop it below—I’d love to hype you up!

Who are your heroes?

We all have people we admire, whether personally or professionally. Sometimes, we put them on such a high pedestal that we forget they’re human, too—capable of mistakes, growth, and learning, just like the rest of us. Check out the bio for the full conversation. #heroes #growth #learning

Last week’s @globalmindedorg 10th Anniversary Conference in Denver, CO, which brought together hundreds of renowned leaders, educators, students, and professionals from over 15 industries for roundtable panels, workshops, problem-solving labs, and networking opportunities, continued with another inspiring day! 🌟

I was honored to participate in the Truly Impactful Impact Investing Breakout Session with the amazing @charrrbucks, @candacematthewsamway, Dr. Ben Bynum, and @danibedoni.

Next, I joined incredible facilitator Charlyn Moss and wonderful Maia Sharpley, in a thought-provoking fireside chat at the Diversifying Entrepreneurship Session. I also had the privilege to listen to a fantastic panel on entrepreneurship with Maximillian Hamilton, Marc Cohen, @thisisvutran, @travisscottluther, Rocio Perez, Henry Wright, @stanhickory, and @cuttlefrank, and followed the event with a fabulous book signing of Dream Big and Win. 💖🌟
