With just under 5 weeks until I fly to play rugby with @philippinerugby & my first 15s game tomorrow in just under a year, I’m really missing 7s…

Truth be told, I wasn’t sure if I was gonna hang up my boots after breaking my ankle in November last year, but im SO glad i didn’t because i’ve met so many incredible people and played incredible tournaments🙂‍↔️

I was mindful of charities and teams this year so thank you to @rugbyagainstcancer @morugbyfc and @wicrugby / @looseheadz for having me 🩷🩵💙🖤

A huge Thank You is whats needed after another brilliant 7’s Season.

To every player, coach, physio, volunteer and support staff member who has worn the Rugby Against Cancer shirt this summer… thank you.

Whether you played one tournament or every game, coached from the sidelines, carried the water, taped ankles, organised logistics or simply gave your time, you represented this charity with pride, passion and purpose.

Yes, we’ve celebrated wins, finals and trophies along the way…

But our biggest victory has never been measured by silverware.

It’s the number of people who now know who Rugby Against Cancer are.

It’s the conversations started because someone asked about the shirt.

It’s the families who now know where to turn for support.

It’s the awareness we’ve spread, the memories we’ve created and the lives we’ve touched together.

That is what this team is really about.

Big thanks to every tournament organiser and host club that welcomed us throughout the summer. Every event has been brilliantly run, incredibly welcoming and a pleasure to be part of. We can’t wait to see you all again next season.

Finally, thank to the brains behind our socials @h.smith.h. Your skill, patience and efforts really are appreciated.

THE WOMEN ARE HEADING TO @lit7s

This weekend, our Rugby Against Cancer Women’s 7s side heads to the incredible LIT 7s for our first-ever outing at what promises to be an exciting competition!

For us, it’s a brilliant opportunity to be present, enjoy the occasion and showcase exactly what RAC 7s is all about — More Than Rugby.

Leading the side is Char, with a squad packed full of fresh faces, returning players and THREE players making their RAC debuts! 👏🔥

The challenge? Bringing a group together who haven’t played much rugby as a team, getting them to gel quickly, while still giving every player the freedom and confidence to express themselves on the pitch.

No pressure then, Coach James… 👀😂

After two promising tournaments with the men’s side, James is switching things up and taking the helm of the women’s team this weekend. The game plan is simple: bring the energy, play with freedom, enjoy the occasion and see where the day takes us!

Go well, girls! 💪🔥

If Carlsberg Did Sundays…….

Some people dream of scoring the winning try at Twickenham…

I turned up, lumbered around for 20 minutes, somehow managed to nail the ugliest drop goal in Twickenham history. 😂

Bucket list officially ticked. ✅

Getting the chance to run out onto the hallowed turf, represent @rugbyagainstcancer at the home of English rugby and spend the day with an incredible bunch of mates is something I’ll never take for granted.

Then came the best bit…

Having Number 1 there with me all day.

We squeezed in the PWR Final, and somehow Lois has now built an unbelievable record…

Two live rugby matches. Two finals. Two Victories.

I’m starting to think she’s the lucky charm.

Watching her take it all in, cheer louder than anyone, soak up the atmosphere and then meet some of the players afterwards was worth more than anything that happened on the pitch.

These are the days you never forget.

Memories made.
Bucket list ticked.
Cup overflowing.

(And yes… the drop goal definitely happened. No, there isn’t enough video evidence to prove how average it actually was… so let’s just agree it was a worldie.) 😉 🩷🩵 #morethanrugby #rugbyagainstcancer

Still smiling after an unforgettable day yesterday.

I had the absolute privilege of playing at the iconic Twickenham Stadium as part of team @rugbyagainstcancer what an incredible experience it was.

To be able to play the sport I love while supporting such an amazing cause made the day even more special. Rugby has always been about more than just the game, it’s about bringing people together, creating lifelong memories, and making a difference where it matters most.

A huge thank you to @o2uk and everyone who organised the event, the volunteers, supporters, and every single person who took to the field..

Charities like Rugby Against Cancer do incredible work, providing hope and support to so many people and their families. It was an honour to play a small part in helping that mission.

Days like this remind you how powerful sport can be
