April has been an incredibly impactful month filled with countless opportunities that have shaped me into a stronger leader, more motivated teammate, and dedicated worker.
My April recap:
- Assisted at the NEO A&M Aggie Days CDE and LDE contests, where I provided constructive feedback to FFA competitors, tabulated scores, announced results, and provided awards accordingly.
- Attended the Oklahoma Collegiate Farm Bureau Day at the Capitol trip, which allowed me to speak directly to elected officials about agricultural policy that influences both District 6 and the entirety of Oklahoma.
- Hosted our last Collegiate Farm Bureau meeting of the school year through a fun night of pickleball.
- Sat on a panel of judges to interview potential scholarship recipients for the Ottawa County Farm Bureau Scholarship.
- Interviewed for, was offered, and accepted a position as a 2026 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Agricultural Programs and Events Intern.
- Was selected as a representative at the OSU/A&M Board of Regents Meeting on behalf of NEO A&M’s Agricultural Department.
- Was recognized as an Academic All-American Collegiate Horse Judge and a Graduate of Distinction at our Annual Aggie Banquet.
-Enrolled at Oklahoma State University and was elected as their Vice President for the Collegiate Farm Bureau organization on campus.
- Rounded off the month with a short 8-hour drive to support some of my favorite people at the Run for the Roses event, meant to raise funds for Texas A&M University’s Horse Judging Team.
Needless to say, it has been a month of abundant blessings that I will forever cherish. I would not be where I am today without peers who push me, a school that demands success, and an organization rooted in agricultural advocacy.
