It doesn’t need to be a big thing… You, YES YOU, you gorgeous thing, can put a ridiculously special plate of food together in no time. That’s what Batchworthy does for you. We do that work for you. So, grab some fresh produce and a protein and get creative.

We scored, seasoned, and seared some scallops with fresh thyme. We grabbed some beautiful fresh corn and tomatoes from @unsqgreenmarket at their peak, end of season. Starting with a healthy layer of Husband Sauce, which we topped with grilled corn, tomato, shallot, and basil, we added in the seared scallops, fairytale eggplant, and lots of lemon. This was our ode to end of summer produce, and we’re lucky to have Husband Sauce to be the perfect partner for it.

It’s our birthday!! One year ago, today we officially launched our very first Batch. We had absolutely no idea what a successful year would look like; especially since it was in the middle of the pandemic and we didn’t have much hope for much at that time.

But, my my my, how we’ve grown! What began as just a handful of bottles cooked up in @chaseweideman kitchen by chef @ryanvsyou and sold to friends, this little gem of ours has really bloomed into a business of which we all are so proud. We have learned and continue to learn a LOT. Sheesh have we learned a lot. But, what we’ve created is the most genuinely special, exquisite, sauces available in this nation and when you truly believe in what you do, it makes the work feel like so much fun.

Thank you to every single order, every single customer. To our friends who have told their friends about Batchworthy who then ordered a batch… We remember every single one of you. To our customers who continue to support us, thank you.

In honor of our first birthday, we have a REALLY special new Limited Run Seasonal Offering to announce in a few hours. Stay tuned!!

Again, THANK YOU! To many more years of batches to come! (Like, today 🥰)

With so much gratitude and love,
Chef Ryan (@ryanvsyou), Danielle (@elliemonteiro) Chase (@chaseweideman) & Cory.

20 BATCHES DOWN! 🥳

Our little COVID business has had quite a year. What started as one exquisite, knock your socks off, green sauce made at a dinner party by @ryanvsyou, turned into a pipe dream of maybe (?) bringing this thing to the people. We cooked up a few bottles in @chaseweideman kitchen and sold them to a few friends. Word started to spread and over the course of the next few months, we signed papers, opened accounts, created an LLC, booked a commercial kitchen, and holy crap here we are. We turned it into a reality! We did that!

Thousand of bottles of sauce and happy customers later, our business still runs completely on passion, heart, elbow grease, and a commitment to bringing you the finest sauces around that are unlike anything else on the market.

We wouldn’t still be here without our customers, and for each and everyone of you, many of whom who have become friends, we are so thankful!

More exciting things to come in the coming weeks.

From the bottom of our hearts and jars, THANK YOU.

Chef Ryan (@ryanvsyou), Danielle (@elliemonteiro), Chase (@chaseweideman), and Cory (who doesn’t do Instagram)

My mom turns 62 today. Shes had a big year. She kicked covid’s ass- twice. She met her first grand daughter. She continued to surprise us all with her fortitude and strength. She reads great books via zoom. She can pull of a killer prank. She’s so much fun to kick back and have a cocktail with. And we are beyond lucky to have you as our Mimi. We all love you sooooooo much. Thanks for everything you do mama. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 @cyndeeboullon

That Good Grainy Mustard Spaetzle with Kraut and Kielbasa. These flavors are pure alchemy. It’s special and also very simple. You really need to try this... Here’s how:

Spaetzle:
•1/2 Cup of That Good Grainy Mustard
•1 cup all-purpose flour
•¼ cup milk
•2 eggs
•½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
•1 pinch freshly ground white pepper
•½ teaspoon salt
•1 gallon hot water
•2 tablespoons butter
•2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions
•Step 1: Mix together flour, salt, white pepper, and nutmeg. Beat eggs well, and add alternately with the milk to the dry ingredients. Mix in That Good Grainy Mustard until smooth.

•Step 2: Press dough through spaetzle maker, or a large holed sieve or metal grater.

•Step 3: Drop a few at a time into simmering liquid. Cook 5 to 8 minutes. Drain well.

•Step 4: Saute cooked spaetzle in butter or margarine. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top, and serve.

For the Kraut: slice thin and sweat a small red onion with a few cloves of crushed Batchworthy Garlic Confit in a sauté pan with a glug of EVOO until tender. Add 1 heaping tablespoon of caraway seeds, and toast with the onion until fragrant. Thinly slice a 1/2 small head of red cabbage, add to onion and seeds. Cook until halfway tender; deglaze w/ 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or more). Finish with a heaping tablespoon of that good grainy and chopped dill.
