SAN LORENZO, THE BAKER BEHIND THAT COOKIE AD IN YOUR NEWSLETTER IS 11. 🤎🍪 She’s my Daughter, Phoenix. She started baking at nine. Last weekend, people walked into the Castro Valley Moose Lodge specifically looking for her. They’d heard about her cookies and wanted to try them. Then came the first bites. “You can taste the butter.” “You can tell this is made with love.” As her Dad, hearing people say those things directly to her means more than I can explain. Tomorrow, I’d love for our own neighbors to meet her. You may have spotted our Ember & Whisk Fall Cookie Sale ad in the San Lorenzo Village Homes Association’s newsletter. Here’s your invitation to turn that little square on the page into a Saturday morning with us: 📍 18480 Via Pequena, San Lorenzo 🗓️ Tomorrow, Saturday, October 17 ⏰ 9 AM–1 PM On the cookie menu: 🍎 Nana’s Dutch Apple Crumble 🍑 Sticky Peach Cobbler 🍪 Ember Raisin-Loaded Brown Sugar Oatmeal 🥜 Spiced Brown Sugar Peanut Butter We’ll have FREE cookie samples and FREE coffee! ☕ A heartfelt thank-you to Anthony and the incredible team at Peet’s Coffee in Hayward for donating the coffee, and to Anna at Peet’s in Castro Valley for connecting us. This is neighbors showing up for neighbors. Send this to the person you keep saying, “We need to get together,” to. Tomorrow, there’s coffee, cookies, and a place to start. Come say hello to Phoenix. Let her tell you about what she’s baked. We’d love to meet you. 🤎 One Cookie. One Connection. One Community. You matter. You are seen. There is hope here. #SanLorenzo #EmberAndWhisk #HopeInEveryBite

This is what motivates me to keep coming back for another chance to catch a lake monster this was my PB and an absolute beast no long arming or camera angles this was a monster I caught it in the cove Quarry Lakes few years back on my good friend and Mentor @suburbantrout .9 gram cotton candy micro spoon with 2lb izorline and @phenixrods iron feather rod .My good friend Ken has since happily retired from spoon making but was one of the four fathers of spoon making, and one of the first in California to do it .I pay my respect to him and my other mentors who showed me the Japanese area style fishing when I was younger much respect and thank you, and hopefully I can pass some of the teachings along to the younger generation to fish with respect and honor 🙏 Thank you Shin ,Fred,Ken and Ben for teaching me the right way of fishing you laid the foundation for what is being used throughout the entire West coast 💯Facts 💯#nonstopgrind #slayarea #fishproblems #fishlife #troutbum troutlife goodeats dinner fishon goodtimes stayhustling goodvibesonly fishon 🎣 spoonfed bayareafishing phenixrods shimano stradic ultralightfishing finessefishing customspoons chasing_finn rainbowtrout thisisthewayphenixrodstroutfishing troutspoons troutjigstroutspoons crankbait chasing_finntruchas noexcuses
