The book & foodie girlies goes to the Mubadala DC Open 🎾 I had the BEST time at Day 4 of the tournament and made the most of it with both Day & Night Session tickets 🙌🏾 I got to watch Jessica Pegula vs. Magdalena Fręch & Ben Shelton vs. Ugo Humbert 🇺🇸 Such an incredible experience from start to finish! Generation MOCA has a new chair! Meet Destinee Swindell.

Destinee Swindell joined Generation MOCA in 2024 and previously served as Outreach Chair. She is an arts advocate, patron, and collector. Eager to positively impact regional art spaces, Destinee draws upon nearly 15 years of experience as a marketer stewarding brands including Sony, Verizon, SheaMoisture, LVMH Beauty, and Swarovski. She is a proud native of Hampton, Virginia, alumna of Howard University, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Generation MOCA is Virginia MOCA’s advisory council of emerging leaders under 40 who champion the Museum through advocacy, fundraising, and creative events. Last year, the group launched Monster Drawing Rally, which returns August 14 for another exciting evening celebrating artists and raising funds for the Artist Prize Fund, supporting award-winning artists.

Congratulations, Destinee! We’re excited to see Generation MOCA continue to grow and thrive under your leadership.
