A new beginning and a Church that stood beside them. 🇦🇺🤍 As Steven and Linda begin their lives in Australia, we thank God for every prayer, gift, and act of care that helped sustain them. Your support helps other families still waiting for this day. Their lives are proof that you can escape evil and that the Lord still has a plan. 🕊️ 🌐 restoringfaithinc.org #RestoringFaithInc #RefugeeSupport #BodyOfChrist #FaithInAction #NewBeginnings Refugee support | Christian humanitarian aid | Church community | Faith in action | Australia resettlement

There are some days when you have reunions with someone, and it turns out you were thinking of each other beforehand at the same time. Yesterday was that for me. I’ve known Noelani for a few years, and every time we talk or shoot, she blesses me. Her story, her faith, her resilience, & her attitude of gratefulness are so powerful and humbling. It’s an honor to know her. @triumph3nt_675 thank you for blessing my life and so many others! I’m so grateful God has used photography as a tool to connect me to her and many others. BECAUSE WE’RE ALL HUMAN Here’s something I’m unlearning... Perfectionism On one had, perfectionism has allowed me to serve my clients extremely well. I’m great at the details. The art direction. The concepts. The creation. The follow through. And it’s easy to hide behind it because culture celebrates it. It celebrates the grind. It celebrates success or what looks like success. But I have seen where it’s held me back. I have seen it manifest in the fear of trying things. The fear of: what if it isn’t perfect? What if my social media posts flop? What if I fail? What’s worse is that fear turned into an identity crisis: What if I’m not taken seriously? What if I don’t look perfect, put together, polished, professional, a girl boss? What if I’m a failure? What if people see the cracks I already see in myself?... This is a serious topic, and I was encouraged to bring this up from a recent podcast my photography mentors, @ericaandjon published recently. Erica opened up about her own struggle with perfectionism, and she has inspired me to be open about it too. You see, a wound can’t heal unless you expose it, properly clean it, and dress it. Now, I’m coming to a place of asking myself: SO FREAKING WHAT? So what if it doesn’t work the way I’d hoped? So what if people laugh? So what if I fail. At least I’ll be failing upwards. This is what’s being cultivated: A knowing of who I am, whose I am, what my purpose is, and how I am to serve well. I know this is deep but... At the end of my life, let it not be said that I let fear control me. Thank you for reading. Let me know if this resonates with you too Los Angeles brand photographer • inland empire photographer • OC brand photographer • photo licensing • Southern California photographer • commercial photographer

Some of my genuine thoughts about what I’ve seen in the Christian social media scene. 🚨Not only does AI raise serious ethical, moral, & copyright questions, it raises spiritual questions. Where is the line when using AI creatively? In business? In tandem with the Holy Spirit? Is there a line? I just scratched the surface with this post. There are so many more questions 💡Considering we have one of the most powerful tools at out fingertips...Our responsibility to filter it all through the Spirit is so much greater. 💡We as Christian creatives & entrepreneurs carry more responsibility in how we operate in business and creative practices. 👉May we always ask Jesus first, especially about serious business moves & creation. (& I know this is an extremely complex topic, and it will continue to evolve.) Even if you aren’t Christian, please share your observations, concerns, and thoughts in the comments. Let’s talk about it. And send this to a friend who is wants to do business or is already doing it. 📖 “Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, cease from your consideration of it. When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.” Proverbs 23:4-5 📖 “A man’s gift makes room for him And brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16 📖“A good name is to be more desired than great wealth, Favor is better than silver and gold.” Proverbs 22:1 Southern California Brand Photographer|Cinematic Imagery #aislop #brandingphotography
