It was amazing to see people coming together not only to learn and interact with animals from the outpost, but to support the outpost in such generosity 💫 from donated prizes to donations directly to the outpost to help feed and take care of these animals, it was all around an amazing time with the fellow volunteers here at the Outpost and the community ✨I’m extremely grateful for the opportunities that life has in store for me, for this place being a dream of mine to volunteer at this last year and a half. First picture of 2019 is our Christmas picture 🎅🤶🎄😂😂 ... what a crazy but incredible year 2018 was. We ended the year surrounded by love and started the year surrounded by love, it doesn't get better then that! Def missed some people last night, but they were in our 💗!! Family, friends that have become family, food, animals, and love. Isn't that what life is all about? 😍😍 P.s I'm sure I missed tagging some people, lol..we know I'm not social media savvy! 🤷‍♀️

Happy #worldanimalday! We had every intention of getting some cute, fun pictures of and/or with the resident animals at @evergladesoutpost today, but some days there is just too much work to be done. Picking up and sorting local food donations, enclosure cleaning and maintenance, food preparation, feeding, husbandry or behavioral training sessions, event planning and set up, grounds maintenance, public education and so much more goes into every day here. We may post cute things from time to time, but I promise that's a small fraction, if anything, from the majority of our day.
