Ellie & Connal, I think it’s safe to say you guys know how to throw a party…

Sometimes you can just feel the energy in a room full of people who wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, and that pretty much sums up this entire weekend.

From an incredible wedding day to a pool party the following afternoon that somehow took things up another level. What a couple of days at the stunning Château Rigaud 🇫🇷

A special mention to @weddingsbymartin_ too, who was an absolute pleasure to work alongside. A brilliant photographer and even better company throughout the weekend.

This definitely won’t be the last you see of this wedding, but it feels like a pretty good place to start.

Flowers were the one thing at our wedding, that was an utter surprise to me. I am incredibly lucky that my wonderfully talented MIL is a florist at Chateau Rigaud, and all she needed was my colour palette and the fact I don’t like lilies and voila. Not only did she match my Pinterest board to a T, but she completely blew me away. At no point would I have expected peonies in August, a bridal bouquet that I could not stop staring at, pew ends that took my breath away as I walked down the aisle, and a wedding breakfast room that even my wildest imaginations could have pictured.

Her team worked amazingly hard to take the pressure of her for her son’s wedding day, and although thank you is nowhere near enough praise for their skills & expertise it’s all I have.

Château Rigaud wedding, South West France, October.

Joline and Marcus got married under the big chestnut tree on the lawn, had dinner in the barn by candlelight, and finished the night with someone firing a bubble gun across the dancefloor.

It was the last wedding of my season, and I couldn't have picked a better one to finish on. 3 days of love, laughter and pure joy.

I'm a Bordeaux wedding photographer shooting digital and film across Saint-Émilion, the Dordogne and the rest of Southwest France.

We knew we had made the right decision as soon as we had that first facetime with you. Your enthusiasm, organisation, and joy shone through and we were so excited to have you at our day. That’s not even talking about your amazing skills on the piano and as a DJ.

Throughout this process you have been brilliant at answering any questions we had, accommodating to them, and helping us with music choices and decisions specifically.

Then onto the wedding day itself. How do we even put into words how blown away we were!? You perfected my aisle song and the timings were spot on, & that moment with your music will forever be a key memory for me and George.
The canape reception music was spot on too. So many guests have told us they adored you and the songs you did & it kept the atmosphere perfect, even when we were gone taking pictures.

Even the music choices for our speech introductions were genius; George especially loved the How To Train Your Dragon theme for him!

Then onto the night…I still cannot quite believe what you did. Every song was a banger, but alongside your lighting & mix ins I was utterly gobsmacked and so so happy the entire night. It felt like I was back at a club in my uni days with all my friends, and I don’t think I will ever have so much fun at a wedding ever! Thank you for letting me dance the entire night long!

AND THE POOL PARTY!! A pool full of fairly hungover people on front of you, and yet you brought us back to life! You were absolutely bloody brilliant, and George loved his little lesson in DJ-ing haha!

Thank you for giving our guests the most incredible experience, and perfecting our wedding atmosphere to a T! I cannot recommend you enough, not only for Rigaud but ANY celebration!

As someone who started this journey off with very limited knowledge of makeup, and who was a little nervous to get their makeup done, from the moment I met you I was at ease and felt completely confident in your incredible skills and artistry to not only understand me but also help me understand. My girls absolutely loved you too and thank you for making them each feel beautiful and confident, including the Mums.

As soon as I sat in your chair I immediately calmed. You kept me distracted and relaxed in such an important moment of my morning, you did my touch ups with precision & care, and your warm words and hugs to send me off were incredibly valuable so thank you!

I couldn’t stop looking at myself all day!! You truly are the best of the best! Thank you for making my dreams come true, and turning me into a true bride!!
