It’s Single Barrel Sunday! 🥃

Today is extra special because I get to celebrate the birthday of my good friend Steve.

I met Steve through our @thebourbonjudge community, and we became really close after discovering just how many similar interests we share. We talk every week, and I can honestly say he’s a gem of a human being.

Steve has always gone out of his way to help others and is truly beloved in our community. So when we had the opportunity to do a barrel pick with @newlouisvillebarrelhouse last December we knew we had to make it special. We surprised Steve, and the team picked an elite 9-year Double Oak Bourbon with him. Steve loves @nuluwhiskey so this was the perfect pick and we got a premium barrel.

This beauty spent 6 years in the first barrel and 3 years in a secondary barrel, coming in at a hefty 129.2 proof.

The color on this one is DARK! 🖤

On the nose and palate, there are layers of vanilla, chocolate, burnt caramel, hints of red fruit, baking spices, and a touch of pepper. The finish is long and lingering. This bourbon is bold, packs a serious punch, and delivers an incredible amount of flavor.

This pick is ELITE! 🔥🥃

Cheers and Happy Birthday, Steve! Here’s to another trip around the sun, my friend.🎂🎁🥃

Much love 🥃

It’s Single Barrel Sunday!

Revisiting this @nuluwhiskey Single Barrel Double Oak by our group @wrightcountywhiskeyclub

It’s 7 years old and 5 months. This is so flavorful an explosion of burnt caramel, butterscotch, rich chocolate and sweet oak. I love me some Nulu and this one is 👌🏻.

Cheers 🥃

It’s Single Barrel Sunday! Revisiting this @nuluwhiskey Bourbon Whiskey finished in Apple Brandy and Sherry barrels. This was finished in these barrels for 3 years! The color on this looks like pure motor oil!

From front to back this is brown sugar, figs, apples, walnuts, light leather and some baking spices. Comes in at 126 proof! This is one incredible bottle. 👌🏻

The @thebarreldrip does some amazing picks! This was a short barrel and only produced 67 bottles.

This was a gift from my good friend Steve. The people I’ve met in my whiskey journey have been amazing!

Cheers 🥃
