Happy anniversary, my love. 🤍

5 years of knowing you, 1 year of calling you my husband, and a lifetime still to go.

Loving you has been the easiest and most beautiful part of my life. Here’s to all the adventures, laughter, memories, and little moments still waiting for us.
Of all the beautiful things life has given me, loving you will always be my favourite.

I love you with all that I am, and all that I’ll ever be. Forever yours. 🤍

During pregnancy we prepare to welcome new life, but we forget that parents are being birthed too.

Stepping into motherhood is an initiation that requires sacred intention. Just as we celebrate a new spirit, we are also celebrating the transition from Maiden into Mother.

Before I moved from Cape Town, we hosted a mother’s blessing ceremony to honour this journey and here are the rituals we incorporated:

1. We created a birthing altar: inviting everyone to gift an offering that I would gather to then recreate for the day of birth. These items become reminders of the support and love shared on this day.

2. Each woman wrote a letter and shared a prayer for the mother’s transition and the birth itself.

3. We connected the circle with a red thread that each woman keeps on her until the day of birth. Symbolising the unity and honouring the bond of this community. When labour begins, this string reminds the mother of the strength and support that she has from those who hold her.

4. Finally, each woman took a bead, blessed it with her own prayer, and built a necklace. This necklace becomes the physical representation of each woman’s love and individual relationship with the mother.

As I shift into this becoming, I am so grateful for the support, the love, and the excitement. This life is sacred, with each new phase of life inviting intention and honouring ceremony.

Share this with someone who might be pregnant, and create a blessing for them. As a mother-to-be, I feel that there is so much value in these practices to support this journey.

If you’d like to learn more or even get guidance around how to host a mother’s blessing, comment BLESSING and I’ll share further ✨

Our motto through it all because you can do hard things especially with a bestie right beside you and made easier with all the cheers and support from our other besties 🥹

We love to hate this sport 🖤

Not the race I planned.

Woke up feeling mentally ready for this race but body had a different idea. By 6km I had to forget the pace and just lock in to finish the race. My legs felt like lead, and I was struggling to hold splits I could usually do with ease.

I thought about stopping most of the race. My girls caught me at 9km and gave me the push I needed 💕

My pain cave is now a palace that has been redecorated and southern cross, you will forever suck.

1hour40 on a very shit day out… we’ll take it ❤️‍🔥

Now we build 😏✨
