Top 10 Hardest Division II Baseball Schools to Get Into in the Northeast ⚾️📚

This list is based on acceptance rate for the Class of 2030, which corresponds with the 2026 baseball recruiting class.

When players are building a college list, baseball ability is only one part of the equation. At schools like these, you also have to consider academics, course rigor, test scores, admissions standards, baseball fit, and overall opportunity.

Top 10:
1 Bentley University
2 Dominican University New York
3 Queens College
4 Adelphi University
5 Caldwell University
6 Slippery Rock University
7 Gannon University
8 Chestnut Hill College
9 Pace University
10 West Chester University

Each of these schools gives student-athletes the opportunity to compete at the Division II level while pursuing a strong academic experience, but admission can still be an important part of the recruiting equation.

The biggest takeaway: being good enough to play baseball at a school does not automatically mean you are academically admissible. Recruits need to understand where they stand academically and athletically before building their college list.

Finding the right fit means identifying schools where your academics, baseball ability, location preferences, financial situation, and overall goals all line up.

Which Division II school surprised you the most? 👀
Save this post if you’re building your college list and send it to a player or family going through the recruiting process.

Thank you to the @chcbaseball coaches and players for hosting another terrific clinic last night for our Nor-Gwyn players!

We’re grateful to have Chestnut Hill College call Hostelley Field home and appreciate their continued support of the Nor-Gwyn community. Their coaches and players shared their knowledge, worked with our kids, and made skill development fun.

We’re proud of this partnership and grateful to have the Griffins as part of the Nor-Gwyn community! ⚾️
