POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our Wedding Stationary: Allegories of Love ✍🏼🎨🌼🧚🏼🦜✨

Being a Live Watercolor Painter, focused on weddings and romance, I have to say that I felt the stakes for our stationary were extremely high. I was equally excited & anxious about how they would end up looking. I knew I wanted something that looked & felt like me & Vinnie, but also in which I could express myself and that made me feel like it was worth spending all that paper (literally) on hundreds of copies. This meant that: it had to be classic yet elaborate, it had to showcase my skills of 10+ years of painting professionally and that it had to be pretty and memorable enough so that the guests you want to keep them as souvenirs of our wedding.

I have always been deeply moved by the romantic/rococo period’ style & paintings, and was obsessed with a triptych that existed in my fiancé’s family home named “Allegories of Love”. I was heavily inspired by these paintings, and decided to paint our version, the allegories (symbols) of V & I’s love.

This meant chaotic beauty, surrounded by nature and our animals (our birdies, Zuzu, Beau, Lilla, Viktor, the late Elton and Lady, and Vinnie’s former 2 dashunds, Sushi and Gaia), the two of us in the center, wearing flowy garments and a yellow stole/scarf symbolizing the liveliness, joviality and optimism of our relationship. Symbols of the celebration itself had also to be present: the angels, the food, mistletoe (for all the kissing!).

Then I took that illustrated universe, and met with the stationery GOAT: @margaridahoc . She kindly vectorized all the elements of my painting, and detached them so they could be used individually. I used the flowers for the invite, the angels for the mass booklet, the food for the menus, and the birds for the seating plan, focusing on each one of the main happening and making allegories for them, as well as our love.

Each table one bird species, and I saved those 18 paintings for last and ended up only painting them 2 weeks before the wedding, on our boat vacation/honey soon in the south of Italy. It all worked out in the end, with a little help from my friends!

In this family we have an eclectic music taste, so our wedding had to reflect that 🎶 #laviebypi #weddingday #wedding #weddingmusic

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BASIC BRIDE!! All brides are gorgeous, as long as they are happy:) Trust me, I've painted hundreds and they are all stunning. This is just a trend! I just happened to be an everything everywhere all at once bride: wide smiles, loud laughs, big puffy skirt, all the fun props (veil & bouquet, yes, but also parasol, fan, flower crown..) & too much unapologenic PDA with my new HUSBANDDD ✨

In conversation with Clara, who creates mobile content for brands, weddings and events.

On where wedding film is heading:
“We’re moving away from overly posed, perfectly polished films and toward storytelling that feels honest and emotional. Couples want to relive how the day felt, not just how it looked.”

On the footage that’s almost always overlooked:
“I always look for close-up and candid shots: a hand squeeze, a genuine laugh, a loving glance, or a small gesture of affection.”

On what makes a film feel like cinema:
“I love blending the real sounds of the day with the soundtrack. Those authentic sounds help transport you right back into the moment.”

Are u ready for it? 😎🤘🏻🤍

A toda a equipa, desde produção, conteúdos, organização: you guys rock 🤘🏻🖤

Ao chefinho @brunoarrechavall por todo o ensinamento e boa onda e a toda a equipa mobile (levo todos no coração) 🥹 À @ritasxs, um especial obrigada pela confiança, because it started with you! ❤️
