What makes something worth it?

For some people, it's the numbers.

For others, it's the recap video or hearing how great the event was.

For me, it happened before the night even began.

In the middle of sound checks, troubleshooting, and all the last-minute chaos, we pulled Checoway and LJ aside to pray.

I thanked God for letting our paths cross.

I thanked Him for the gifts He entrusted to them.

And I simply asked Him to bless their "yes" and do whatever He wanted to do that night.

In that moment, I realized it was never just about the music.

It was about creating a space where people could celebrate others who are faithfully stewarding what God has entrusted to them.

And maybe, just maybe, find the courage to steward what's been entrusted to them too.

A few days later, friends told me they'd been listening to artists they had never heard before because of the showcase.

That put the biggest smile on my face.

Not because the event was successful.

But because two people's gifts found new ears.

If Los Santos can play even a small part in helping people encourage one another, discover one another, and step more fully into what God is calling them to build...

Then it's worth it.

Every single time.

Viva Los Santos.

What a night.

Thank you to everyone who packed the room, cheered on Checoway and LJ the Messenger, and helped make our Summer Music Showcase what it was.

The music was incredible.

The conversations were even better.

This is why Los Santos exists.

This wasn't a one-time event.

It was a glimpse of what's being built.

We're just getting started.

- Viva Los Santos!

Announcing... Round two. 👊

We're excited to welcome Checoway back to Los Santos.

After joining us last summer, he's making the trip from Fort Worth to help kick off this year's Summer Showcase before LJ the Messenger takes the stage.

One week from today, we'll fill the room with great music, good people, and one of our favorite nights of the year.

If you're already coming, invite someone.

If you've been thinking about coming, this is your sign.

See you July 31.
