Took a mini escape to Vietnam last week at @wbellevue with their Chef’s Cart: Vietnam night! Every bite was a little adventure: crispy, savory bánh xèo that crackle in your mouth, fluffy bánh bao that melt like clouds, and little bites of happiness everywhere in between.

The @casamigos Coco-Crush cocktail? Pure tropical bliss- sweet, smooth, and basically a vacation in a glass.🤌

The energy was contagious — outdoor vibes and amazing company. It felt like the perfect little getaway without leaving the city.

As we *step* out of the difficult month of July and *move* into August, I would love to Move with MADD with you, Saturday, August 2, at 8 am, at Sloans Lake.

"Keep Moving" has been one of the life themes that keeps me going. Moving with friends is good for my soul. You might find that it helps you, too.

In each of the last two years, 50 friends have joined our team - Do It for Dominic D. I don't know if we can get 50 friends to join us this year, but I am willing to try.

The Memory Mile will choke you up. Dominic's story will be told, alongside a mile full of drunk driving victims. We walk for Dominic, and we also walk for Joey Heath, Keaton Olmsted, and Tanner Hecht, who continue to wear the scars of drunk driving.

In hospitality, we don’t just work- we create, endure, love and become family. Over 20 + yrs in this world, and a decade in operations, nothing compares to the bond we share through grueling hours, wild stories (hello White Lotus) and missed holidays that turned colleagues into kin.
At The Four Seasons Denver many moons ago, I was lucky enough to lead a bold F&b team to open a hotel that helped reshape tradition and set new standards in the company. Among them was Christopher Jordan- my executive pastry chef, my partner in vision. He once said “You can’t bring your NY and LA energy here- it will fail.” I told him, “I have to swing the pendulum farther so it can meet in the middle.” He got it instantly-and we ran with it.
As years go by, we remember not just the wins, but the extraordinary souls like Christopher, whose creativity and belief were instrumental. Our successes not only measured by numbers- but also by people who walk beside you through the fire.
Christopher walked through the fire for his craft. A rare and special talent. CJ we will never forget you and what we all built together. Thank you, always.
