Every dish has a story. Every story has a cook.

Meet Chef Krishna, the hands behind every plate at Mesa Dulcina. Portuguese recipes, cooked slowly and with care, the way they were always meant to be.

This is only the first chapter. Come in, pull up a chair, and say hello. He’d love to cook for you.

Golden hour looks a lot like this Grelhado Camarao Caldin e Quiabo. If you haven’t tried the grilled prawns in traditional caldin marinade at Mesa Dulcina yet, your South Goa itinerary isn’t complete. 🦐🔥

The Man Behind the Table

For Chef Krishna, cooking begins long before the first ingredient hits the pan.

It begins with a story.

A story of Goa, of old kitchens and recipes carried across generations. Of Portuguese influence meeting local ingredients. Of dishes that travelled, changed, adapted — and somehow still found their way back home.

At Mesa Dulcina, Krishna brings those stories to the table.

Ask him about a dish and he won’t simply tell you what’s on the plate. He’ll tell you where it comes from, why it tastes the way it does, and sometimes, why you might like something else on the menu even more.

Because for him, cooking isn’t only about getting the recipe right.

It’s about understanding the person you’re cooking for.

Perhaps that’s why his kitchen feels so much like the spirit of Mesa Dulcina itself — food made with curiosity, memory and generosity.

A table should always have a story to tell.

And Chef Krishna has quite a few.
