Noël Bérard — Luberon’s rising force in contemporary French gastronomy.
Chef of La Bastide at Capelongue in Bonnieux, he shapes a cuisine deeply rooted in the landscapes of Provence, blending terroir, precision and modernity. After formative years at Les Crayères in Reims, he expanded his horizons in Asia, joining the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and later contributing to the opening of Écriture alongside @chef_maxime_gilbert a restaurant that earned two Michelin stars in record time. Returning to France, he continued his ascent under @edouardloubetofficiel before taking the helm of Capelongue where his identity as a chef fully flourishes.

His mentors and influences trace a path of excellence: Maxime Gilbert, Édouard Loubet, and the great French culinary tradition that shaped his technique and discipline.

In 2026, Noël Bérard reached a defining milestone by becoming a finalist of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France – Classe Cuisine, one of the most demanding distinctions in French gastronomy, under the presidency of Alain Ducasse. A recognition that confirms his place among the most promising chefs of his generation. lecoeurde... +1

👨‍🍳 EDEN CHEF OF THE WEEK

A new Eden-Gourmet series starts today.

Every Tuesday, we will celebrate the chefs, culinary personalities and gastronomic talents who inspire us, and the people with whom we have had the privilege to collaborate. ✨

For our first edition, we are highlighting a selection of Michelin-starred chefs with whom I have had the opportunity to work, collaborate or build professional relationships over the years.

Behind every great dish, there is a chef.

Behind every great chef, there are exceptional products, passionate producers, talented teams and strong relationships. 👩‍🍳 👨‍🍳

This is what Eden-Gourmet is all about.

Connecting chefs, producers, brands, suppliers and hospitality professionals across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. 🌍

And creating opportunities around exceptional gastronomy.

These photographs represent only a part of the journey, and there are many more stories to share.

👨‍🍳 EDEN CHEF OF THE WEEK — every Tuesday.

Who would you like to see featured next?

Join us on July 2 for an evening built around great food, exceptional Champagne, and one of the world’s most luxurious ingredients: caviar.

When Executive Chef JP Matheussen and STARR Restaurants Corporate Chef Maxime Gilbert first met in New York, they quickly bonded over a shared love of thoughtful cooking and memorable dining experiences. This dinner is the result of that friendship—a one-night collaboration celebrating the elegance and versatility of caviar.

The evening’s multi-course menu will feature highlights including Chef Maxime’s acclaimed caviar and uni tart, a signature dish from his time leading the two-Michelin-starred Écriture Hong Kong, alongside thoughtful pairings from @champagnelaurentperrier.
Pull up a chair, raise a glass, and join us for a special night around the table.
