Hey McCray how was the retreat? All weekend I was given the space to be a damsel in rest. Outside of opening a jar, cause Im still a 🥷🏿, I got to walk around adorned in my jewelry and robes, didnt have to think about what Im going to eat, I got uppies, and was told how beautiful I am. My shoulders dropped a few degrees and I had a man cover me in his protective energy although everyone was a joy to be around. And everyone was so vulnerable and had that reciprocated, which was such a beautiful thing to experience. My home girl was definitely the life of the party. Shout out to @amethyst__brose They helped make this retreat an even better time. I got a chance to make a sugar scrub and fabric mist with @bedewedskin Which has been a long time coming. I love seeing my folks thrive. Oh and this time I made more of an effort to keep the community ball rolling and got everyone's contact information. And I actually used it. lol I cant wait for the next one!

Can you tell me how to get… how to get to the birthday party? 🎈🎂 When the assignment calls for Sesame Street + Curious George, you don’t just put a few characters on a cake and call it a day. You build the whole neighborhood. 😂 From the hand-sculpted characters and balloons to the 123 sign, storefronts, streetlamp and all those little details—this one was definitely a labor of love. And THIS is why I love tiered cakes. Each tier gives me another opportunity to tell the story. Got a little one with a favorite cartoon, movie, superhero, anime or game? Let’s turn their favorite world into cake. 🎂 Custom Birthday Cakes 🎈 Tiered Celebration Cakes 🎨 Handcrafted Sugar Art 📍 Chicago + Northwest Indiana Now booking Fall 2026 celebrations. There’s something about a tiered wedding cake that still deserves its own moment. 🤍🎂 This semi-naked beauty was designed with soft, romantic florals, warm pops of color and just enough rustic texture to let the cake itself shine. But for me, a wedding cake has never been just dessert. It’s part of the room. It’s part of the photographs. It’s part of the celebration. And years later, it becomes part of the memory. Whether your style is romantic and understated, modern and architectural, or completely over the top, I love taking an idea and turning it into something made specifically for your day. 💍 Now accepting select Fall/Winter 2026 weddings and 2027 wedding inquiries throughout Chicago & Northwest Indiana. Wedding Cakes • Tiered Celebration Cakes • Custom Sugar Art • Consultations & Tastings 📩 DM “WEDDING” to start your inquiry. Where there’s a Whisk there’s a way! Good food becomes even more meaningful when the next generation gets to help make it. 🍑🫐 At the Farmed & Forged Kids Market, we transformed fresh produce from Klug Family Produce and fresh herbs into yogurt parfaits layered with honey and crunchy granola. The children didn’t just watch—they stepped up, participated and experienced how fresh market ingredients can become something simple, nutritious and delicious. This is what it looks like when food, education and community come together. Where there’s a whisk, there’s a way! From market basket to the final spoonful. 🍑🫐🌿 For my latest Farmed & Forged Market demonstration, I shopped the market and turned beautiful peaches and blueberries from Klug Family Produce into fresh yogurt parfaits layered with honey and crunchy granola. Simple ingredients, locally grown produce and plenty of flavor—that’s what market cooking is all about. I prepared the demonstration wearing the Coastal Collection from Chef Works®—lightweight, comfortable and polished enough to take me from shopping the market to serving the finished parfait. Where there’s a whisk, there’s a way! @chef_works @chefblaque #CWAmbassador #ChefWorks #FindTheFork #CoastalCollection #ChefWorksAmbassador |
