After my last update, around eighteen people reached out with support and understanding. To those who commented, and to those who may not have but still understood where I was coming from, thank you truly. Your words reminded me that connection is still possible here, even if it feels rare at times. They helped me feel seen at a moment when I was exhausted from trying to make this account a place for community and friendship.

A lot has changed. I’ve been thinking about how social media feels now compared to a few years ago, and I’ve realized people are often here for instant satisfaction and surface level interaction. It’s become more “me” than “we,” and I’m no longer trying to fight that dynamic.

I care about connection, but I’m stepping back from being the constant initiator. I still have things to work on, especially around communication, but I can’t keep carrying every interaction.

I also tried to be someone others could lean on. I’ve accepted that most people don’t want that from me, and that’s okay. People have their own support systems, partners, or prefer privacy. I just don’t want to keep offering something that isn’t received.

If our connection is one sided, surface level, or based on passive engagement, you should unfollow. I’m not looking for people who only interact when it’s convenient or who leave things on read with no intention of building anything real. It’s been hard to keep posting when it feels like people enjoy the content but not the person behind it. I value mutual effort and peace, and I’m choosing to invest where that exists.

I want to make content I’m proud of again. I’ve been sharing more of my interests, but I lost sight of posting the things I genuinely love. I got caught up in engagement and trends instead of creating from a real place. I want to return to that.

I’ve also noticed people often show up when something is clearly wrong, but quieter struggles can go unseen. Those early moments matter too. I’m not anyone’s responsibility, but I do think we should check in on each other more, not just in crisis.

Be kind. Be authentic. Give a damn. Life is short.
