@chefkd__ curated vinyl listening experience and cafe order confirmed! About the segment from ChefKD “ African Dancefloor Archives I’ll be warming up the dancefloor with a vinyl selection of alternative African dance music. The idea is simple: take it back and get people moving. This isn’t the usual amapiano or Afrobeats playlist. I’ll be digging into African funk, highlife, Afrobeat, soukous, jazz-fusions and other dancefloor sounds that deserve a little more time in the spotlight! Expect infectious rhythms, big grooves and records that make you want to move. Be ready to throw in a little two-step, a little shoulder work, or whatever your dancefloor language is. Come ready to dance!” Cafe order: Earl grey tea with two cream and one sugar 14 DJ sets 10 hours of programming 4 immersive activities 2 rooms caféteca world & friends is an exploration of café culture, dance music, and visual media. The Griot Speaks 🪇 A griot is more than a storyteller, they are the memory of the people, the keeper of history, and the voice that carries generations forward. As the African proverb says, “Until the lion tells its story, the tale of the hunt will always glorify the hunter.” Thank you to everyone who joined us at Jazz Bistro and shared this beautiful evening of music, poetry, and storytelling. Your presence gave life to every note and every word. Our stories continue, our drums keep speaking, and our voices will keep carrying the spirit of our ancestors into the future. Stay tuned for more dates. The journey has only just begun. 🌍🎶📖 📸 @therealfabler 🪮: @kimavelilocs 💈: @supremecutpop #TheGriotSpeaks #AfricanPoetry #JazzBistro #Storytelling #AfricanMusic
