In celebration of international women’s month, we had the privilege of welcoming women from across the agriculture, food and beverage industry to the Àtijẹ Dining room.

It was a true joy to share meals rooted in Nigerian cuisine and culture- from the Abacha salad, to the bambara hummus, zobo shot and the fonio pudding.

If you asked me what’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, my first answer without a doubt would be entrepreneurship. It’s broken me in so many ways, but it’s also molded me into who I am today. It’s made me the woman I am today. All the life lessons I didn’t learn in school, entrepreneurship has taught me. It’s opened my eyes to truly see how life is.

But building a community over the years has made it easier. A community of my @venusdames and a community with my students. Coming together to share dreams, aspirations, and visions with these people has made my entrepreneurial journey less heavy.

As I enter 2026, I want to remind every entrepreneur of the importance of a community. No matter how small, build a community. Empower and share knowledge. We can all win. We can all succeed.

I pray for every entrepreneur that you find yourself, no matter how many times you’re drained mentally. That you find yourselves on days you no longer have the willpower. That you find strength to always carry on.

Welcome to 2026! Let’s go and make that bastard money!
