Our Navigate interns had an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the 2026 Tour of Champions at East Lake Golf Club, working alongside industry professionals in a premier sports and hospitality environment.

Hosted by Chef Nick and Polly Barrington, students worked culinary and hospitality stations throughout the event — from elevated food presentations to fast-paced service and event execution — while connecting with accomplished chefs and industry leaders along the way.

Experiences like this are what Navigate is all about: putting students in the room, building their networks, and giving them real-world opportunities to learn, lead, and grow.

Yesterday’s pantry was extra special! 💚 Thanks to @eastlakegc and @chefnick24, C.H.O.I.C.E.S. rescued 2,000 pounds of fresh produce from the PGA Tournament and distributed it to families in our community.

We’re grateful for partners who help us reduce food waste while ensuring nutritious food reaches our neighbors. Together, we’re turning surplus into support! 🥕🍅🥬

6 months ago, I wouldn’t have believed you if you told me I would be where I am now. I didn’t see this coming, and I didn’t even fight for this door to open. But I definitely had my dark season. Enduring unexpected rejection, being shaken by a whirlwind of confusion, and overcoming deep bouts of depression and thoughts of being inadequate. But I made a decision to survive the darkness until it was lifted and I came out stronger than I ever was. A supportive family, an advocating circle of colleagues, and incredibly wise mentors who God assigned to my life; that’s the only way that I am able to make it this far. My tribe carried the load of my weakness until I was strong enough to stand on my own feet.
I am honored to except this incredible assignment, and I will only be able to succeed by keeping God first in all I do. It hasn’t steered me wrong yet! And after this wild ride, I’ve learned that his driving is wayyyyyy better than mine 😅🙏🏽

I would like to extend my gratitude to @smithfieldculinary, @acfatlantachefs, @thehansengroupus, @gordonfoodservice, @grandecheseco, and @stavely_woodworks for organizing the Pizza Chapter Competition. Each competitor was given the opportunity to bring one mystery item of their choice, and I selected Hoisin Confit Duck. The pizza I created was a Peking Duck Pizza, featuring Caramelized Onions, Shiitake Mushroom, Ricotta, Mozzerella, Bacon, Garlic Oil, and Crispy Onions.
