You crawl on the floor. You drag yourself forward like a reptile. We all did it, and that is where it started.

Most people ignore the absolute basics. They force their way through heavy workouts, ignoring the warning signs until something breaks.

Afterwards, their joints ache. The body creaks like an old machine. Listen to that signal! Pain is not a coincidence, it is an alarm… we learned that in the last post. Remember?

Your central nervous system relies on a primitive blueprint. Long before you ever stood upright on two feet, you learned how to move on the floor. You slithered, you crawled and built the foundation from the ground up.

Then life happened. Stress, injuries, and years of sitting erase those original motor programs. You attempt a simple exercise, but your body compensations hijack the movement. You feel broken.

The solution is remarkably simple. You must go back to the beginning. But you have to know how, with the help of a trained professional.

Regress to progress: Get down on the ground, master the primal floor patterns and let your brain reconnect with its original software. Once that foundation is solid, the pain vanishes. Movement feels fluid again. It becomes light, powerful, and completely natural.

Learn to crawl. Only then can you truly walk.

Be honest: what gut issue have you just accepted as “normal”? 👇

Constipation, diarrhea and digestive issues aren’t something to live with. They’re signs something’s off, and things like H. pylori, candida and parasites can fly under the radar for years.

With all this being said, there is one exercise that’s probably the best in the world. It’s the one YOU’RE WILLING to do.

Doesn’t matter where your starting point is, just start. Be consistent, stay curious, and build body awareness each time you practice. Learn to listen to your body instead of constantly trying to push past it.

Exercise is medicine when applied appropriately. But just like medicine, the right type, dose, and frequency matter. What helps one person might not be what another person needs. Your lifestyle, movement habits, physical limitations, stress levels, and goals all play a role in determining what kind of exercise will serve you best.

Maybe you sit at a desk all day and your body feels stiff and restricted. Maybe you work a physically demanding job and you’re already exhausted by the time you get home. Maybe you’ve been exercising for years but still deal with recurring aches, poor mobility, or the feeling that something just isn’t working the way it should.

These are all different starting points, and they deserve different approaches.

I think one of the biggest mistakes we’ve made in the fitness world is convincing people that exercise is something we do TO our bodies rather than something we do WITH them.

Movement should be an opportunity to understand yourself better. To discover your limitations, develop your capabilities, and build a body that supports the life you want to live.

You don’t need to become an athlete, spend hours in the gym, or completely change your life overnight to begin experiencing the benefits of movement. Sometimes the most valuable thing you can do is slow down, pay attention, and learn what your body has been trying to tell you.

And if you’ve been putting in the work but aren’t getting the results you hoped for, maybe the answer isn’t to work harder. Maybe it’s to better understand what you’re working with.

Assess, don’t guess!

Strength training and proper core engagement create happy hormones and resilient bones as you age!

as if you actually need more information as to why this is so crucial..

Here yah go, what I can fit into these tiny boxes without explaining every little nuance

In my group sessions, and especially 1:1 clients, we focus on creating stability from the inside out! There really is no reason to hurt ourselves out in the world, yet we were not given the proper education to inform us about that

Lucky for you that has been my professional career for the past seven years (if you do not count my entire athletic career before that😆)

Better posture starts with better awareness.

Postural correction isn’t about forcing yourself to stand up straight. It’s about understanding how your body moves, where mobility may be limited, where stability may be lacking, and what your movement patterns are telling you.

Corrective exercise starts with asking the right questions:

- Lengthen: What may be restricted or overactive?
- Strengthen: What may lack strength, endurance, or control?
- Differentiate: What does your posture, movement quality, and body feedback tell you?

Phasic muscles are generally associated with movement, while tonic muscles are generally associated with sustained activity and postural control. These are useful training concepts, but they aren't absolute categories—muscle function depends on the task.

The goal isn't to label muscles as good or bad. It's to identify what your body needs and choose the right strategy.

At Maverick Movement Academy, we use observation, movement, and biological feedback to help you develop a better understanding of your body and become more independent in managing your own training.

Calm First. Move Second. Train Last.

Different goals. Same mission.

Real people. Real lives. Measurable progress.

From improving digestion and respiration to building strength, mobility, and endurance, maintaining performance through stressful seasons, and making training fit into a demanding schedule — these are the wins that matter.

Not perfection. Not extremes. Just consistent effort, better self-awareness, and learning how to adapt when life gets demanding.

At Maverick Movement Academy, we focus on helping you understand your body's feedback, make informed adjustments, and build a sustainable approach to health and movement that works for your life.

You don't need a perfect schedule to make progress. You need a system you can consistently return to.

Calm First. Move Second. Train Last.

Which of these wins resonates most with you?

SEXY! IM FEELING GOD DAMN SEXY.

The only systems I need

Actual core work here. Which actually strength my inner most musculature to protect my spine. This translates over to my dynamic lifts and when I load my spine in the vertical axis. I am safe, sound and solid.

What is the TvA =Transverse Abdominal.

This IS the part of your core that helps you rotate. You cannot see this Core muscle, and that is why people don’t know how to train it. As most are training the core solely to train aesthetics. My training is to be pain free and powerful. That all starts here. On the ground. Low and Slow.

Core work should be done at the end of a workout!!!

Why take a lumberjack axe to the middle of a tree before you go climb it? 🪵 🪓

Low and Slow might not actually be sexy. But these results sure are!!!

This training IS the V taper every man wants. This training IS how you “ cinch” your waist ladies!!!

My results speak for themselves as I continue in my mid thirties to be pain free and more athletically capable than I have ever been in my whole life.

If you’re looking for a subtle way to improve your performance without strenuous, rigid, pavement, stomping pain? Look no further than the Pro Pulse Power Vest.

As someone who takes a holistic approach to his health. That means to look at everything, and how it would help the system as a whole. Usually requires out of the box thinking @thedavidweck is “THE” Man when it comes to thinking about things differently, and his inventions and training have proven that to me time and time again. As everyday I become more pain free, and I’m building my strength back on top of a pain free body.

Yes the ProPulse is for athletics. It is also great for slowing down and doing some lymphatic or tendon work. Two systems of the body that are overlooked constantly.

When the body is organized, optimized, and primed. My workouts become fluid, streamlined and succinct.

Poised to Pounce. Every Step Stronger. Becoming a better weapon 😤
